Abstract

The main application P 3546112.8 relates to a method of operating electrolysis for the simultaneous separation of SO2 and NOx from flue gases, in which the conductivity of the scrubbing solution is kept in a particular range. It has been shown that the conductivity of the scrubbing solution is influenced by solids which are present in the scrubbing solution. Moreover, encrustation on the membranes of the electrolysis cells negatively influences the process. In order to avoid these disadvantages, according to the invention it is proposed that the scrubbing solution and/or the electrolysis cell itself and/or the housing is stimulated by ultrasound and/or is stimulated to vibrate alone and/or additionally by vibrators. The cleaning of the electrolysis cells and the membranes and the agglomeration of the solids in the scrubbing liquid is preferably achieved by ultrasonic excitation alone.

Description

Patent application P 35 46 112.8 describes a method for operating an electrolysis for the simultaneous deposition of SO 2 and NO x , in which the conductivity of the washing solution is kept in a special conductivity limit range.

It has been found that the conductivity of the wash solution is affected by solids present in the wash solution are available.

In addition, an incrustation on the membranes of the Electrolysis cells adversely affect the process.

For this reason, the invention proposes that Washer fluid in motion so that gas blistering can be avoided, and thereby the conductive is retained - and on the other hand the solids in the Solution to settle faster, and with plaster  crystals even an agglomeration is generated, and thus a growth of the gypsum crystals and thus a faster one Sinking of the gypsum crystals is achieved, at the same time also the vibrations expediently affect the electro lysis cell itself should be transferred.

According to the invention this is achieved by the Fluid excited by ultrasound and / or by vibrators that are attached to the walls, both in vibrations ver sets, i.e. the washing liquid and the individual electrical lysis elements; of course also the membranes now due to the ultrasound and thus vibrating washing liquid is pulsating around and the vibrations cause incrustations to fall off tion is made possible.

Preferably the excitation of the liquid and the tearing and excite the membranes and the insert elements in the cell with ultrasound and thus not so materi exhausted, as is the case with vibrators.

Only in very critical cases, where the ultrasound excitation is not sufficient, a vibrator is preferably in the tub applications preferably used in addition.

It is particularly important to remember that plastic in many cases find cells where the fatigue in the Material connections, especially in the weld seams are significant.
