Aus der sogenannten »gewachsenen Tonerde«, die durch Beizen von Aluminium mit nuecksilbersalzen und nachheriges Verweilen an feuchter Luft erhalten wird, lassen sich auf sehr einfache Weise Farblacke herstellen, die große Farbstärke und gute Echtheitseigenschaften aufweisen. Die Lackbildung erfolgt beim Schütteln der gewachsenen Tonerde mit Farbstofflösungen oder beim Vermahlen mit diesen Lösungen oder mit den festen Farbstoffen und etwas Lösungsmittel schon bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur und' man erhält wasser-, öl- und lich'tech'te Lacke, wenn man geeignete Teerfarbstoffe anwendet. Die zunächst auf diese Weise erhaltenen Tonerdiefarbstofflacke können in beliebiger Weise zu Wasser-, Leim-, Kasein-, Öl- und graphischen Farben verarbeitet werden, indem man sie j e nach Bedürfnis mit Barytweiß, Zinkweiß oder Schwerspat verreibt und mit Bindemitteln vermischt.Process for the production of colored lacquers.
