Description
Articulated boilers made of ring-shaped or horseshoe-shaped * sections that consist of Rolled profiles are welded together. The invention relates to rolled sections composite boilers and is intended for improvement through use a more suitable rolled section. The use of commercially available rolled sections, especially of U- or I-iron, for the production of wrought-iron sectional boilers is known. In the case of the latter, the manufacturing process becomes very simple because when selecting corresponding high webs, the adjacent flanges of two profiles can be welded directly to a link and then. the water space form, while the remaining flange halves when assembling several Links to the boiler include the fire train. Here the disadvantage is in buying too assume that the internal welds are directly exposed to fire. Even the designer is bound to the few existing I-profiles, which at the same time cause a certain waste of material, because the flanges as a result of the rolling process be stronger than the bars and therefore a higher weight of the Surrender to the boiler. This plays an important role in the transport costs. Similar are the conditions when U- or I-girders are only used as a framework Links serve and the finished link by welding sheet metal walls to the flanges the profile is formed. U-profiles then result in smooth outer walls, conditionally but a different than the generally usual guiding of the smoke puffs and make it more difficult also the installation of the hopper and the grate.
According to the invention, the use of profile iron is retained, Instead of the usual normal profiles, however, special U-shaped rolled profiles are used with a web that is extended beyond the flanges on one or both sides. Such profiles are made with almost the same wall thickness throughout, and to the extent required by the respective boiler cross-section. The protruding When assembling the links, web extensions form the heating channels and the The weld seams are located in such a way that they are not exposed to the direct radiant heat of the furnace are exposed. Although the flanges can be rolled out so long that they Without the inclusion of sheet metal walls, a boiler section is created by welding at the joint result, it is advisable to choose short flanges and weld them through To connect sheet metal walls.
The example shown in the drawing includes U-profiles short flanges and welded sheet metal walls.

U-shaped profiles a are used to form the boiler sections, the web a of which is extended over both flanges b by approximately half the length of the web a. Web and flanges can be the same throughout and also have such a thickness that there is no excess material at any point. Their dimensions can also be selected in the way that is most favorable in terms of heating technology. So z. B. the web extensions ä can be chosen longer to give a larger smoke channel cross-section compared to the water space cross-section if the boiler is primarily intended for peat or lignite firing or fuels with a lower heating effect. Such a profile also allows the choice for welding the end walls c on the outside or inside to the flanges b, so that in this respect there is a certain freedom in the dimensioning of the ratio between the smoke duct and water space cross-section.
The protruding web extensions are used on the two outer boiler sections a 'cut away. To create the water circulation between the individual boiler sections the end walls c above in the middle of the links can be pulled out to socket c ' be, in which pipe pieces d are inserted, as Fig. 2 above and Fig. 4 show. In the same way, the connection of the flues is done by pipe sections f after Fig. 3.
