Hierauf wird das so entstandene dreikantige Rohr an den Stellen, wo sich die Gährungsausschnitte c befinden, rechtwinklig umgebogen und an dieser Stelle abermals verschweißt, womit ein Glied fertiggestellt ist. Bei dem in den Abb. i bis 3 dargestellten Kessel sind sechs solcher Glieder oben durch einen gemeinschaftlichen Sammler d und unten rechts und links durch kleinere Sammler f vereinigt. Außerdem sind die beiden äußeren Glieder noch unten quer durch Zwischenrohre g desselben Querschnittes verbunden, die gleichzeitig die Auflage für die Roststäbe h bilden. Wie unten, sind auch seitlich zwischen den Schenkeln der äußeren Glieder nach Möglichkeit Verbindungsrohre i vorgesehen, die gleichzeitig die Vorder- und Rückwand des Kessels bilden.
