Description

Process for cleaning and keeping white stiffened laundry clean. Attempts have been made to use different types of soap to clean the laundry To replace funds. The soap substitutes are of little use because they either have poor cleaning power or attack the vegetable and animal fibers, or require heavy mechanical processing under which the laundry suffers as well, as with some soap substitutes. In addition, the Replacing the used laundry with new ones is difficult and causes considerable expenses.

According to the method which forms the subject of the invention especially for those underwear for which these evils are most noticeable make, namely in the area of the stiffened white linen, these evils remedied, and both the soiling of the laundry is significantly reduced as well as restoring whiteness and making cleaning easier without that the fiber suffers. According to the invention, this double success is achieved by that the wash with a white M: ineralfarble, like Litopon o. d dl., which is water-soluble Binding substances, such as glue, tragacanth, gum or the like, are added, is coated. There is such a firm union of the laundry surface with the smoothed zinc oxide pulp one that the fiber is well covered and that dirtying is thereby reduced. The cleaning takes place in the simplest way with pure warm water, in to which the items of laundry only need to be rubbed lightly between the hand, This is ensured especially by the subsequent re-treatment with the zinc oxide pulp that the laundry regains a good whiteness. You can even do laundry after this Refresh the process again without the need to wash it beforehand, e.g. B. Collars, curtains, hand cuffs. All that is needed is to smear the thin one Zinkoy_) - dbrei. The zinc oxide slurry is produced, for example, in such a way that the zinc oxide first mixed with enough water to a liquid paste, boiled and then is processed by means of rollers. The zinc paste thus obtained is then converted into the same Amount of a biting 5 percent glue solution and, if necessary, the whole thing processed again by rolling. The mass is stirred until shortly before it solidifies around and then let it stand. The mass obtained in this way is viscous and can then can be used by everyone in the specified manner.

Even paper washing can be treated with this agent for a whole year be worn. Only about ten drops are applied to a collar, like this that the paper collar does not get stuck.

It is known to coat white shoes, belts and the like with a mass of white Ller paint and water or a rubable one Color mixture with other additives. These known means can, however Do not use to freshen up flattens because they rub off easily. That Means according to the invention, however, is completely solid and does not stain while it can nevertheless be easily restored by washing out with water while protecting the fibers can be removed.
