Description
Liegender Motor mit gegenüberliegenden Zylindern und Magnetzündung für zweirädrige Kraftfahrzeuge mit in der Fahrzeuglängsrichtung verlaufender Kurbelwelle. Die Erfindung betrifft -einen liegenden Verbrennungskraftmotor mit gegenüberliegenden Zylindern und Magnetzündung, der für zweirädrige Kraftfahrzeuge mit in der Fahrzeuglängsrichtung verlaufender Kurbelwelle bestimmt ist und zwischen den Rädern des Kraftfahrzeuges angeordnet ist. Bei diesen Fahrzeugen ist aus Gründen der konstruktiven und betrieblichen Wirtschaftlichkeit darnach zu streben, den Platzbedarf für den gesamten Motor einschließlich seiner Hilfseinrichtungen so gering als möglich zu halten, weil sonst bei' einem gegebenen Radstand der für die Personenbeförderung zur Verfügung stehende Raum zu stark eingeschränkt wird oder aber durch einen übermäßig großen Radstand ein hohes totes Gewicht und ein dementsprechend großer Aufwand an Brennstoff in Betracht kommen. Die Nachteile werden in äußerst einfacher Weise durch die Erfindung vermieden, d. h. es wird eine sehr geringe Baulänge dadurch erzielt, daß die Magnetwelle parallel zur Motorwelle über die letztere gestellt und über dem auf der Magnetwelle sitzenden Magneten der Kühler angeordnet wird. Es liegen also der eigentliche Motor, Magnet und Kühler unmittelbar übereinander. Zwischen Magnetwelle und Motorwelle erfolgt durch- Zahnräder die Kraftübertragung, während von der Magnetwelle aus der Ventilator für den Kühler unmittelbar durch Reibräder angetrieben wird.Lying engine with opposing cylinders and magneto ignition for two-wheeled motor vehicles with a crankshaft running in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Es würde natürlich nichts im Wege stehen, den Ausschnitt noch höher zu führen und dementsprechend den Kühler g noch näher an die Motorwelle a heranzurücken. Der Ventilator f ist mit seiner Welle f 1, die eine Reibscheibe e trägt, in einer Schwinge i gelagert, deren Drehachse sich bei h befindet. Die beiden Reibräder d, e werden durch eine Feder k in ständigem Reibungseingriff gehalten.
