Description

Retensioning device for the spring in conical clutches. The previously known devices for retensioning the springs of conical clutches or the like are more or less complicated. The present invention is such a device, which is characterized by great simplicity. excels. In Fig.r, a is the crankshaft of an engine, b the flywheel, c the coupling cone, d the shaft end, on which the nut e sits in the usual way, which forms the counter-bearing for the spring f, the other end of which is the coupling cone c into the conical recess of the flywheel b. The nut e, sitting on the threaded end of the shaft end d , can, as shown in Fig. Obviously, the nut is moved in the longitudinal direction of d in this way; that depending on the direction of rotation, the spring f tensions or relaxes. In order to fix the nut in each case, a plate i is inserted between the spring and the nut, which (see Fig. 3) has a number of spherical indentations k. The same turns, arranged on the same diameter, are located in the nut e. Between the plate i and the nut e, the balls l are arranged in the manner of ball bearings so that they fly in the spherical depressions of e and i under the pressure of the spring. If the nut is rotated against the shaft a, it can evidently be effected that the balls initially rise out of their depressions and then fall back in after a corresponding rotation and fix the nut against the plate i in the new position. If the plate i is now secured against turning on the shaft end d, for example by tongue and groove, but is longitudinally displaceable on it, the nut e is thus also held in its respective position.
