An und für sich ist es zwar bekannt, Getreide dadurch von Grannen zu befreien, daß es an Siebfiächen vorbeigerieben wird und die abgeriebenen Grannen usw. durch einen Luftstrom von den Körnern entfernt werden. Bei diesen bekannten Entgrannern sind aber zur Ausführung des Reibens besondere Rührwerke erforderlieh, weil die Siebe wagerecht liegen, und der entgrannende Luftstrom wird entgegengesetzt dem Getreide geführt. Durch den Einbau der Siebe in den schrägen Kanal sind besondere Rührwerke nicht erforderlich und der entgrannende Luftstrom geht mit dem Getreide, d. h. er führt dasselbe.
