Abstract
1. A circuit arrangement for measuring short time intervals and for emitting the measured time in digital form, which is supplied with a start pulse which indicates the start of the time interval to be measured and with a stop pulse which indicates the end of the time interval to be measured, where the start pulse is fed to a setting input (S) of a bistable trigger circuit (FF), and where the ouptut of the bistable trigger circuit is connected to a time-voltage converter (ZSW) which includes a discharge circuit (ET) and produces a voltage proportional to the time, where a first delay element (VZ1) and an analogue/digital converter (ADU) are provided, characterized in that the start pulse is supplied to the aforementioned first delay element, that the stop pulse is supplied to a second delay element (VZ2) which has a longer delay time than the first delay element, that the first delay element (VZ1) is connected to the setting input of the bistable trigger circuit (FF) and the second delay element (VZ2) is connected to the resetting input of the bistable trigger circuit (FF), and that the output of the time-voltage converter (ZSW) is connected to the analogue/digital converter (ADU), which has an adjustable voltage threshold adjusted such that when the inputs (ES1, ES2) of the circuit arrangement are combined, the analogue/digital converter (ADU) emits the binary value for zero.
