Ein aus den Teilen 1,2 und 3 gebildeter und aus isolierendem Material, z. B. Porzellan, bestehender Ringes besitzt zwei Vorsprünge b und c und außen eine Nut d und der Teil 3 außerdem· eine Aussparung e. Die Vorsprünge b und c sind zweckmäßig geriffelt, um dadurch die Anpressungsmöglichkeit und den festen Sitz zu erhöhen. Diese Ringlamellen 1, 2, 3 werden durch ein in der Nut d liegendes biegsames Band / festgehalten, welches wiederum durch Zahne g in einer in der Aussparung e angeordneten Schnecke h sitzt. Über der Schnecke h ist eine mit der Ringlamelle 3 verbundene, also sich nicht drehende Scheibe i angeordnet, die gleichzeitig durch eine Überwurfhülse k an die Schnecke h angepreßt wird.
Die Wirkungsweise ist folgende:
Nachdem der Ring α in die Lampenfassung soweit als möglich eingeschoben worden ist, wird die Glühlampe eingeschraubt (Abb\ 3). Dabei legt sich der Vorsprung b an die Gewindehülse I und der Vorsprung c an den Lampensockel m an. Mittels eines besonderen Schlüssels wird nun die Schnecke h verdreht. Dadurch werden die Zähne g des Bandes / nach dem Zentrum der Schnecke h gezogen und durch" das Band f die Lamellen 1 und 2 mitgenommen. Der zwischen den Lamellen i, 2 und 3 bis dahin vorhandene Zwischenraum und der Durchmesser des ganzen Ringes verjüngen sich, und .es entsteht somit eine starke Anpressung dieser Teile an die Lampe und an die Fassung. Eine derartige Sicherung dient nicht nur zur Verhütung des Diebstahles, sondern in gleich sicherer Weise zur Verhütung der ungewollten Lockerung des Lampensockels und der dadurch entstehenden Unterbrechung des Stromes.
