Steigeisen ausgerüstet sind, Schuhe von Radrennfahrern, welche Platten für die Fußhalter tragen, Skischuhe und insbesondere Schuhe zum Langlauf- oder Tourenskifahren usw. In den Fig. 1 und 2 soll gezeigt werden, daß die vorliegen de Erfindung für alle Langlaufskischuhe interessant ist, die mit einem vorspringenden Teil oder Ansatz im Verhältnis zum eigentlichen Schuh ausgerüstet sind. In den Fig. 1 und 2 ist ein Langlaufskischuh i der nordischen Norm 50 darge stellt, dessen Sohle 2 an ihrem Vorderende einen vorspringen den Teil 3 aufweist, der mit Löchern versehen ist, die zur Verbindung mit einer entsprechenden Bindung an sich bekann ter Art dienen. Dieser vorspringende Teil 3 der Sohle be steht aus dem gleichen Material wie der übrige Teil der Sohle 2, derart, daß die Biegung des Langlaufskischuhs, der in der Bindung angeschnallt ist, - zur Vereinfachung der Zeichnung nicht dargestellt - mit dieser Bindungsart ge währleistet werden kann. Das für diese Schuhart verwendete Material muß ausreichend biegsam sein, um Biegung auf dem kleinen Sohlenabschnitt zu ermöglichen, der das Vorderende des Schuhs überragt. Dieser Bereich, der erheblichen und wiederholten Belastungen ausgesetzt ist, erfordert in gegen sätzlicher Weise auch eine bestimmte Eigensteifigkeit, um eine gute Halterung des Schaftes 5 auf der Sohle 2 zu ge währleisten und um hierdurch jegliches Ablösen, insbesondere der Schuhspitze zu vermeiden. Die vorliegende Erfindung verringert insbesondere diese Nachteile durch die Tatsache, daß das Vorderende 6 der Sohle 2 einen nach außen umgebogenen Steg 7 aufweist, der praktisch das Vorderende 5′ des Schaftes 5 umgibt, wie dies z. B. aus Fig. 1 hervorgeht. Das Vorderende 6 der Laufsohle 2 ist durch einen Einsatz 8 versteift, der in die Sohle eingeformt ist und dessen kürzerer Schenkel 8′ einen Winkel mit dessen längeren und parallel zur Sohlenebene verlaufenden Schenkel bildet. Dieser kürzere Schenkel 8′ erstreckt sich im Material des Steges 7 und verleiht diesem neben einer guten Steifigkeit im Verklebungsbereich des Vorderendes 5′ des Schaftes 5 zusätzliche mechanische Eigenschaften.
