Die Erfindung besteht darin, daß in den Aufbewahrungskasten an Winkelmeßinstrumenten,
wie z. B. Sextanten, eine Krallenhaltevorrichtung angebracht ist, welche in Verbindung

f bewegt, während die Handhabe in der Spur g, gl geführt wird. In

Das Herausnehmen des Instruments aus dem Kalten mit der neuen Befestigungsvorrichtung
erfolgt dadurch, daß man das Instrument durch leichten Druck auf den oberen Teil
der in der Fig. i mit d benannten Handhabe aus der Krallenhaltevorrichtung
a, b, o, cl löst, das Instrument in der Richtung auf die Federbolzenhaltevorrichtung
e, f, Pg# gl verschiebt und herausnimmt. Das Hineinsetzen des Instruments
erfolgt in der Weise, daß man das Instrument mit der Handhabe d in die, 'Spur
g, gl der Federbolzenhaltevorrichtung setzt, in der Richtung auf die
Bolzenkammer e leicht verschiebt und den oberen Teil der Handhabe d in die
Krallenhaltevorrichtung hilleinführt, wobei die Feder b ein Einschnappen
unter die Haken c, el zur Folge hat. Ein großer Nachteil. der bisher verwandten
Befestigung ist der, daß die Alhidade beim Schließen der Kasten immer annähernd
unter Null gestellt werden muß, weil sonst der Haltepunkt, durch welchen bisher
die Instrumente im Kasten festgehalten wurden, auf die Alhidade drücken würde. Für
den Gebrauch an Bord ist es jedoch von größter Wichtigkeit, daß man die Alhidade
auf irgendeinen Punkt der Teilung eingestellt stehenlassen kann. Dieses wird im
Gegensatz zu den alten Haltevorrichtungen durch die neue Befestigungseinrichtung
vollkommen erreicht. Insbesondere können z. B. -die Fernrohre des Instruments stets
