Geschoß mit einem Nutzlastteil und einem AntriebsteilProjectile with a payload part and a drive part
The invention relates to a projectile with a payload part and a drive part.
From barrel weapons, e.g. B. an artillery gun, fired projectiles have a limited with an optimal barrel elevation Range, which is essentially determined by the initial speed and is therefore ultimately limited by the energy content of the propellant charge.
It is already known (DE-OS 31 48 407), the range of such a projectile by an additional drive, for example, to enlarge a ramjet engine, which is ignited after firing and gives the projectile an additional impulse. That attaches itself to the payload part the ramjet engine attached to the projectile enlarged its overall length in a disadvantageous manner, so that it is conventional Guns with a given cargo space cannot be used without further ado. Even if through modifications In the cargo space, the use of such projectiles would be conceivable, handling of such projectiles is excessively long Projectiles in self-propelled howitzers because of the existing ones little space is almost completely ruled out.
The invention is based on the object of providing a projectile of the type mentioned, which as a result its short design can be fired from imported weapons, especially in cramped combat areas, such as B. self-propelled howitzers is usable.
■' This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1. ■ '
Advantageous refinements of the invention can be found in FIGS Subclaims.
Dabei zeigt .The invention is described below with reference to the drawing explained in more detail. It shows.

Fig. 3: einen Querschnitt durch den Antriebsteil des Geschosses entlang Linie 3-3 der Fig. 2;FIG. 3: a cross section through the drive part of the projectile along line 3-3 of FIG. 2;

Dabei umgibt der Antriebsteil 11, bei dem es sich zweckmäßig um ein Staustrahl-Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of one from one Payload part 12 and a drive part 11 existing projectile 10 in the rest state or in the firing position. The surrounds Drive part 11, which is expediently a ramjet
This results in a greatly shortened construction of the projectile 10, which allows the use of the projectile in conventional weapon systems and especially in spatially cramped combat areas, such as in self-propelled howitzers. The additional drive part 11 gives the projectile an auxiliary drive after firing from a gun barrel and thereby enables an increased range of the
Geschosses. Floor. Conventional artillery shells are at distances Can bridge up to about 30 km, the range of a projectile with an additional drive can be about up to Increase to 50 km.
At the rear, the projectile 10 is closed by means of a traction sheave 13, which controls the pressure in the gun barrel when , Propellant gases evolving launches are transferred to the projectile 10. Centrally axially in the traction sheave 13 is a Bore 13 * arranged through which propellant gases can penetrate into the rear area of the drive part 11, which is sealed off from the front part of the projectile by a washer 20. A lock prevents that under the pressure of the propellant gases that have penetrated through the opening 3 * in the traction sheave 13, the Payload part 12 of the projectile moved forward. In a very simple and practical way can be used for this locking the inertial force of the payload part 12 during the acceleration phase can be used. For this purpose, the bore 13 * in the traction sheave 13 and the volume of the chamber 11 'of the Drive part 11 to be dimensioned so that the through the The force exerted by the pressure of the propellant gases that have flown in. kung is less than the inertial force of the payload part 12 in the barrel during the acceleration phase. Since after leaving the barrel of the weapon there are no more inertial forces the projectile act, the gases trapped in the chamber 11 * can push the payload part 12 forward and eject the traction sheave 13 unlocked by the displacement of the payload part 12 with a time delay to the rear.
Fig. 2 shows the projectile 10 in the flight position, which the projectile assumes after leaving the weapon barrel.

The propellant gases have the telescopic in the drive part 11 slidably mounted payload part 12 of the projectile moved forward, so that now payload part 12 and drive part 11 are arranged one behind the other in the axial direction. Now the ramjet engine can also be used. Drive part 14 in, * function, which is designed as a • Ringdi f us or 17, 19 air inlet and a Rear nozzle 21 has. The solid propellant 15 (Fig. 3) is in the shape of a ring on the inner wall of the tubular drive partially 14 applied. The jacket of the solid propellant 15 is only through achsaparalIeI arranged catwalks 14 interrupted with the drive part 11 are firmly connected and easy sliding of the telescopically displaceable into the flight position Partial payload 12 allow. In Fig. 3, which shows a cross section through the drive part 11 of the projectile 10 along shows the line 3-3 of Fig. 2, four of these catwalks 14 are shown. Depending on the requirements, you can also less, e.g. B. three catwalks 14 or more catwalks are provided.
Before the payload part 12 slides forward, it is also useful synchronized with the release of the locking means, the Sealing washer 20 ejected in the stern direction. The detachment of this sealing disk 20 (Fig. 1) is expediently carried out by an in pyrotechnic charge not shown in the figure.
Fig. 4 shows a view of the projectile 10 looking in the direction from 4-4 according to Fig. 2 and reveals the folding tail gates 16, which in the firing position (Fig. 1) are still attached to the casing of the drive part 11 were created and only unfolded after the projectile 10 was shot down.
