Description

Zur ununterbrochenen, gleichmäßigen Wirkung eines Treibriemens ist es erforderlich, daß die Biegefähilgkeit an keiner Stelle eine wesentliche Änderung erleidet, so daß überall der Übergang von der Geraden zum Bogen stoßlos erfolgen kann. Bisher wurde durch Aufbauten über dem Band die Biegefähigkeit und Wälzmöglichkeit zu erhalten versucht, jedoch wurde damit eine erhebliche Gewichtserhöhung an einer Stelle sowie durch Vorstehen von Teilen weit über die Bandebene hinaus die Wirkungen wieder aufgehoben und kein nennenswerter Erfolg erzielt. Wird bei Stahlbändern auch das- Verbindungsstück der Stoßenden aus Stahl gewählt, so finden bei der praktischen Verwendung Aufwerfungen, gegenseitige Verschiebungen, Abscheren der Verbindungsmittel und sonstige Unzuträglichkeilten statt, die eine tatsächliche Verwendung ausschließen. Die Erfindung vermeidet nun diese Mißstände dadurch, daß als Verbindungsstück nach Art der Textilriemenverbindungen ein flaches Mittel aus einem solchen Stoff gewählt wird, der bei genügender Festigkeit gegen Zugbeanspruchungen eine große Geschmeidigkeit und Biegefähigkeit besitzt. Zu diesem Zweck muß ein Zusammenarbeiten des Verbindungsmittels mit den Stoßenden erfolgen, und dies geschieht gemäß der Erfindung dadurch, daß in an sich bekannter Weise der Stoß schräg, und zwar unter ziemlich spitzem Winkel erfolgt, und daß auch die Kanten des Verbindungsmittels, welche nicht an den Bandkanten entlang laufen, schräg über das Band verlaufen. Zweckmäßig sind alle Linien, d. h. die quer über das Band verlaufenden Kanten des Verbindungsmittels und die Stoßkanten des Bandes, parallel.
