Abstract
Description
Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Reinigen von Fassaden Method and device for cleaning facades
oder dgl. or the like
The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of the claim 1 and a device for performing this method. A procedure with the Features of the preamble of claim 1 are known from DE-OS 25 24 156.
Natürlich darf hierbei das darunterliegende nicht angegriffene Material nicht abgetragen werden..Facades, walls, statues and the like in need of cleaning usually not just a layer of dirt that needs to be removed, but also underneath also a layer of stone attacked by dirt or atmospheric pollution, which still affects the appearance of the object after removing the dirt and must therefore be removed. Of course, what is below may not be here attacked material is not removed.
The known method uses a jet of pressurized water, the fine or coarse sand was added by means of a high pressure air jet. With A complete cleaning of facades, Buildings, statues and the like (hereinafter referred to as objects for short) achieve fundamental disadvantage of this The procedure, however, is that the surface erosion by the water-air sandblast is very strong.
Accordingly, the known method can only be used for such objects are applied where an erosion in the order of magnitude of proportionately large fractions of a millimeter can be accepted. It's rare - almost never - especially with historical buildings. This is especially true also because the blast cleaning is done by hand and the blasting nozzle is guided carried out by the cleaning staff depending on their individual skills will. It is therefore unavoidable that more is removed in individual places is considered necessary. Since all places must achieve a minimum level of cleanliness, this leads to the fact that individual points are disproportionate in each cleaning process are heavily worn away.
The invention aims to improve the known method in such a way that that on the one hand the cleaning of the object surfaces can be done faster, on the other hand, however, in such a way that the removal of not yet attacked parts of object surfaces, which usually consist of relatively soft natural or artificial stone, not or takes place in an unrecognized scope. The cleaning should nevertheless be flawless, So without leaving dirt residues behind, but also without discoloration and other things adverse effects on the object surface take place.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the method is carried out with a blasting material made of sharp-edged grains.
Surprisingly, these sharp-edged grains do not add any sugar one would expect a particularly strong erosion of the surface to be cleaned, Rather, it leads to a strong reduction in the amount of material removed while still being improved Cleaning effect.
The exact reason for this is not known. The applicant suspects however, that the far more beneficial effect of using sharp-edged grains is justified by the fact that the sharp-edged grains with a considerable Cross components to the direction of the water jet mixed with air in this not only its movement on the object surface in the water-air jet but rather considerable due to their sharp-edged, irregular shape Perform transverse movements to the beam direction, so that on the one hand the impact of the Grains hit the object surface with relatively low kinetic energy, on the other hand, however, the sharp-edged, irregularly shaped grains still have a relative effect long eg on the surface to be cleaned, whereby they have a good cleaning effect exercise.
The fact that the irregular shaped sharp-edged grains according to the invention, which are also relatively small should find a relatively high flow resistance in the water-air jet, so that they do not bounce off after hitting the surface to be cleaned, as do the relatively round grains of blasting sand, usually made of quartz exist, but are pressed by the water jet to the surface, so that they are guided along this following the water drainage flow.
Preferred is the method according to the invention according to the claim 2 executed. While according to the prior art according to the above-mentioned DE-OS the jet sand in the jet direction from behind with high pressure air into the water jet is shot in, which leads to a very high impact speed of the sand fraction, in which it does not matter whether it is coarse sand or fine sand hardelt on the Leads to the object surface to be cleaned, is preferred by the invention Entry of the air-sand jet into the water jet of the fine sand with only relatively low velocity component introduced in the direction of the jet.
Also, when constricting the water jet for spraying it out, it is likely the acceleration of the water-air mixture that takes place in the open air be greater than the corresponding acceleration of the usually däs two- up to three times the specific weight of water exhibiting sharp-edged irregular shaped according to the invention used grains of the blasting material.
An embodiment of the method according to the invention has proven successful with the features of claims 3 to 5. The water pressure before entering the Chamber is depending on the thickness of the dirt to be removed and the hardness of the The rock of the object to be cleaned is set. The thicker the layer of dirt and the harder the object to be cleaned, the higher the water pressure can be regulated will.
The overpressure with which the blasting material is fed becomes higher regulated, the more blasting material is used per unit of time and per liter of water. Here, too, the pressure increases with the thickness of the layer of dirt and the hardness of the object to be cleaned.
The easiest way to force the water-air sandblast to converge is that according to claim 5.
The amount of blasting material is advantageously chosen according to claim 6. at most of the objects has an amount of about one kilogram of blasting material 6 kilograms of water.
The lower the abrasive additive, the gentler it is Cleaning effect.
It is essential in the invention that a blasting material is used, that is really sharp-edged. The blasting material is therefore preferred according to claim 1 generated. This creates enough sharp-edged material.
The importance of sharpness is evident from the fact that the Re-use of blasting material that has been used once results in a poorer cleaning effect or greater removal of the object surface to be cleaned. To a good one To achieve the result of the process, the blasting material is therefore preferably only used once used.
The hardness of the blasting material advantageously corresponds to that of commercially available Glass as it is used, for example, for mass glass production (bottles, window glass, Jam jars and the like.) Is used. The blasting material used is accordingly preferably a glass powder made by crushing glass waste from manufacturing, however is also produced by waste glass. Basically, other abrasive powders can also be used such as quartz powder or flint powder can be used. However, these have the disadvantage that the raw material must first be obtained costly, while the glass powder preferred according to the invention from an industrial waste product can be generated. and has proven itself well.
Tests have shown that the blasting material advantageously has different grains Size up to 1 millimeter, better up to 0.5 millimeters. The grain size follows the usual definition, in which the grain size through the mesh size of a sieve is determined.
Using grains of different sizes results in a better cleaning effect than is the case with grains of the same size, such as they are usually used for sandblasting. Preferably the grain size is of the blasting material over the range from 0 to the maximum size, which is preferably about 0.5 millimeters, distributed according to the normal distribution curve. On the concept of Normal distribution curve is based on "Introduction to grain size measuring technology" by Batel (Springer-Verlag, Berlin, Göttingen, Heidelberg, 1964) p. 13 and 14 referenced.
The course of the normal distribution curve is advantageously one in which about half (by weight) of all grains have a size between one Be one third and two thirds of the maximum size. With the preferred grain size of the sharp-edged, unevenly deformed grains of the blasting material should therefore be the Half of the same has a grain size between 0.17 millimeters and 3.3 millimeters exhibit.
The invention also comprises an apparatus for carrying out the method. This is characterized in claims 13 and 14. It is characterized by simple Construction, high wear resistance and favorable mixing conditions the end.
The training according to claim 14 has the particular advantage that the risk of water entering the sand / compressed air line is avoided.
The abrasion-resistant material for the mixing chamber is preferably a high strength ceramic material. like hard-paste porcelain.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is special It is advantageous that the water-Luzt-sand mixture before spraying on the to be cleaned Surface is still passed through an outlet nozzle, through which ultimately the impact speed the cleaning jet can be adjusted to the surface to be cleaned, so that an adaptation to special surfaces to be cleaned, also through a suitable choice the size and possibly also the shape of the outlet nozzle is possible.
To prevent a backflow afterwards, it can be advantageous to the axes of the connection and the pressurized water nozzle parallel to each other on one To be arranged at the end of the mixing chamber. About a particularly intimate mixture of the individual To achieve components of the cleaning jet, but is according to one embodiment the inventive device proposed that the two axes are angular to each other are arranged, according to a further embodiment the invention, the two axes in the flow direction of the respective medium at an acute angle converge; an angle of 45 ° has proven to be particularly advantageous.
In practice, it can not be prevented that blasting material on a Strikes the inner surface of the mixing chamber. Therefore, the mixing chamber is best made entirely of abrasion-resistant material, according to a further embodiment of the invention only part of the inner surface of the mixing chamber can be used as a zone of increased abrasion resistance be trained. This zone can be a high-strength plate, which is a baffle plate for the sand / compressed air jet. But it can also be beneficial to this zone by forming a wall coating of flexible material, preferably rubber; as far as there is a strong turbulence and mixing of the inside the mixing chamber individual components takes place, it is then advantageous to use the entire mixing chamber line with such a coating.
The subject matter of the invention is based on the attached, schematic Drawing explained in more detail, for example.
The only figure shows in axial section a mixing head, the one Forms part of the device according to the invention.
The riisch head, denoted as a whole by 9, is an elongated, one-piece, hollow body made of highly abrasion-resistant ceramic such as hard porcelain, its main part is formed rotationally symmetrical to the axis 3. The end on the right in the drawing of the mixing head 9 has a bore with the axis 3, in which a pressurized water pipe 1 is tightly attached. The pressurized water pipe 1 is connected to a suitable high pressure water source can be connected, which can supply water at a pressure of approx. 70 to 130 bar.
The left in the drawing end of the pressurized water pipe 1 protrudes into the conical-cylindrical cavity 5 inside the 'mixing head, this Cavity 5 forms the actual mixing chamber. The said end of the pressurized water pipe 1 forms a pressurized water nozzle 2 through which a pressurized water jet emerges, the runs coaxially to the axis 3.
At the end of the mixing head opposite the pressurized water nozzle 2 9 this tapers conically and ends in an outlet nozzle 4, which is coaxial is designed to the axis 3. The diameter of the cylindrical cavity is part roughly equal to its length. Fig. 1 is approximately to scale.
Near the pressurized water nozzle 2, a sand / air connection is in one piece on the mixing head 9 6 formed, which has the shape of a round tube, the axis 7 of which is the axis 3 approximately in the middle of the cylindrical part of the mixing chamber 5 at an angle of 450 cuts.
The connection 6 can be connected to a sand supply with compressed air.
When using the device shown in the drawing A good mixing of air and sharp-edged blasting material inside the mixing chamber and water causes. This mixture emerges from the outlet nozzle in the form of a jet 4 off. A major difference between using normal blasting sand and, according to the invention, sharp-edged, irregularly shaped blasting material is shown also on the beam shape. While the jet diverges only slightly with normal blasting sand, The choice of the blasting material according to the invention results in a strongly diverging jet. This shows that the design according to the invention is not simply the abrasive effect of Blasting material is increased, which basically also applies. Through the choice of the blasting material the behavior of the whole beam is also influenced. This is despite the good cleaning effect the excellent protection of the surface to be cleaned achieved.
With regard to the blasting material, it should be noted that at least a part of the sharp edges of the grains of the same should be acute-angled. This means, the two surfaces forming the edge should in this case be at an angle of less than 90 °.
In the method according to the invention, the addition of chemically acting Funds not required. If necessary, however, the addition of such as e.g. from fat-dissolving wetting agents.
