Description

Process for dewatering the press residue from hydrolysis of starchy Mosses. The object to be solved by the invention is to remove the residues, those from the hydrolysis of starchy mosses during their processing to sugary ones Mash arise, expedient to dewater. These residues are great in themselves easily usable as fuel; for the economics of the manufacturing process fermentable mash osmosis is the use of the residues as fuel from great importance. This use is opposed to the difficulty that this Residues are very difficult to dewater to a sufficient degree. They stick with everyone Attempts to dry the water stubbornly, so that it by the usual means, such as pressing and drying, cannot be removed from the residue in a sufficient manner is.

It has now been established that the reason for this persistent clinging of the water is to be found in the sugar content remaining in the residues, and that it is easily possible to dry the residue sufficiently if it has been ensured beforehand that the sugar is removed from the residue. For direct production as sugar or in fermented form as alcohol, the in Ask coming amounts of sugar too low. So it's editing the residue is simply a matter of removing or destroying the sugar. This happens according to the invention in such a way that the pressed residue either with water diluted and then fermented until the sugar is destroyed; in this case leaves After fermentation, the residue is easily pressed off in a sufficient manner and dry.

However, it may also be sufficient to cover the arrears several times Stir water and squeeze off the water to leave a residue that can also be drained easily. After removing the sugar it can be the residue easily squeeze and dry and gives an excellent Firing material that is not sufficient for the operation alone, but rather even gives a surplus of almost zoo percent.
