Abstract
1. A reservoir (1) for water for consumption comprising a cold water inlet (3) adjacent to the bottom of the container, a water outlet (4) in the upper portion of the container, a fuel-operated first heat source (8) and a second heat source, which is independent of the first and disposed below the some adjacent to the bottom, wherein the two heat sources are controlled by respective temperature sensors (17 and 14) and the temperatur sensor (14) for the fuel-operated heat source (8) is disposed above the other temperature sensor (17), characterized in that the second heat source is an electric heater (20) that is provided with a temperature sensor (17), which is associated with the cold water inlet (3) and is responsive to a higher temperature than the first temperature sensor (17), and that a response of the first temperature sensor (14) causes the fuel-operated heat source (8) to be started and the electric heater (20) to be de-energized.
