Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the salable number of cups in delaying the time required for a cold water region to reach a primary water temp. sensor by a method wherein a secondary water temp. sensor detecting the water temp. is placed at a location nearer to a heater than that of the primary sensor and when either of the primary and secondary sensors detects the reduction in the water temp., power conduction to the heater is started. CONSTITUTION:A themistor 10 as a secondary water temp. sensor is placed at a location nearer to a heater 2 than that of a thermistor 9 as a primary water temp. sensor placed at the upper layer of a hot water tank 1. Tap water is supplied because of continuous large sale and a cold water region B1 is formed at the bottom of the hot water tank, which is detected by the thermistor 10 and a control part 11 is started to supply power to the heater 2 and conse quently the region B1 heated by the heater 2 becomes small. Since the make-up water is heated by the heater 2 even if continuous sale is repeated, the time required for the region B1 to reach the location of the thermistor 9 can be delayed.
