Abstract

1. In an inking device for a printing press with an inkwell (1) in which are arranged a driven, large upper inking roller (6) acting together with a fountain roller complete (2), and a smaller lower inking roller (7) provided with circumferential profiling and rolling on the upper inking roller (6), characterized in that, in an offset printing press, the inking rollers (6 or 7 respectively) of the inkwell (1) are arranged above each other such that the lower inking roller (7) is comprised by a collecting channel (11) formed by the lower part of the inkwell and connecting the boundary walls (9, 10) of the inkwell which are inclined towards each other in a V-shape and of which the back boundary wall (10) of the inkwell attributed to the filling side is more inclined towards the vertical than the front boundary wall (9) of the inkwell opposite from the filling side, whereby the direction of rotation of the lower inking roller (7) in its bottom range immersing into the collecting channel (11) goes from front to back towards the filling side of the inkwell (1), and that the lower inking roller (7) is provided with a gear-like relief formed by ridges (12) extending in the longitudinal direction of the roller and by interspaces (13) between them, and with a rubber surface just as the upper printing roller (6) which can be set against the fountain roller complete (2) acting together with a stripping device.
