Abstract

1. Device for reduction of fuel-consumption during short stops of motor vehicles, when the ignition is temporary switched off, comprising a push button (1) which is exclusively destinated for this device and also comprising a relay (11) having a coil which on one side can be connected over the ignition lock (4) with the positive pole of the battery (3) and on the other side can be connected to ground by means of an engine controlled aggregate (7) depending whether the engine speed exceeds or falls below a predetermined value, characterized in that this relay (11) always has one of two predetermined positions and the device is so constructed that by pressing the push button (1 resp. 1' resp. 1'') the relay (11) depending from its position (switched on or switched off) which is corresponding to the actual engine speed, either by an additional relay (10) provided with a circuit for keeping the relay (10) in the >>ON<<-position cuts off the ignition or actuates by means of the starter relay (12) the starter (6) and disconnects said circuit for keeping the additional relay (10) in >>ON<<-position and by this switches on the ignition.
