Abstract

The end flange of the moulded case are extended to provide a foot at each end. This replaces the loose metal foot fixed to the core which has hitherto been used for mounting the completed transformer. The foot is typically strengthened by ribs extending between it and the end flange. Similar moulded on extensions can also be provided for locating the core inside the coil case, and for carrying the transformer terminal board.
