Dazu war es bisher erforderlich, entweder die Gehäusedeckel abzuschrauben, das tager auszuwaschen und neu zu fetten oder erhebliche Fettmengen in das Lager einzupressen, wobei das Lager gedreht werden mußte, damit ein vollständiger Fettaustausch gewährleistet war. Sowohl das Lagerauswaschen als auch das Nachschmieren bei drehender Lagerung sind aufwendige Wartungsarbeiten, da die Loks dazu in die Betriebswerke gefahren werden müssen.For special applications such.
