Man kann nunmehr die Lasche durch Fingerdruck nach innen drücken, auf diese Weise den Deckel untergreifen und vom Eimer abheben, ohne daß hierzu ein Werkzeug erforderlich ist. Es wäre zwar möglich, die Lasche nicht schwenkbar anzuordnen, sondern abbrechbar zu gestalten, doch ergäbe sich dann für den Verbraucher die Notwendigkeit, das abgetrennte Kunststoffteil gesondert zu entsorgen.
