Container with marking element

The invention relates to a container according to the preamble of claim 1.

The containers of this type are preferably, but by no means exclusively, used in the form of glasses cases for storing glasses. A label element is attached to the outside of such containers, which serves to individualize the containers and in particular for advertising purposes. For example, the containers can be manufactured in a neutral design as a mass product and can be used as an advertising medium by various companies by applying an individually designed label element.

The disadvantage of using such known marking elements is that, due to their flat component structure, they tend to detach from the surface of the container in the area of the outer edges and no longer fit properly. Even with a slight mechanical load on the outer edges of the marking element, the outer edges detach from the surface of the container and protrude. If the label element is removed, the appearance of the container will be affected and the label element as a whole can very easily become detached from the container and lost, especially if an adhesive connection is used.

The object of the present invention is to provide a generic container from which marking elements can only be detached with difficulty.

This object is achieved by a container according to the teaching of claim 1.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.

According to the invention, the outer surface of the container has a recess in which the marking element can be arranged. Due to this recessed arrangement of the marking element, shear forces no longer find a point of attack on the outer edges of the marking element. The interface between the container and the marking element is protected by the edges of the recess.

The containers have a particularly high-quality appearance if a printed film section with a transparent plastic layer on top is used as a label element. The transparent plastic layer protects the printed advertising on the film section from mechanical environmental influences, such as those typically found in a handbag, and prevents it from being scratched.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the recess is essentially designed to be complementary to the shape of the marking element.

of the marking element and has no interruptions. This protects the outer edge of the marking element from external mechanical stress on all sides. Lateral forces slide off and cannot cause the outer edge of the marking element to stand up.

In many cases, generic containers do not have flat outer surfaces for easier handling, but are usually curved. Since the generic marking elements have a substantially flat structure, applying the marking elements to a curved surface leads to internal stresses that can cause the marking element to come off at the outer edges. Therefore, the surface of the recess on which the marking element can be placed should be substantially flat. The formation of undesirable internal stresses in the marking element is thus excluded.

To increase grip, the containers of this type are often manufactured with surfaces that are easy to grip, such as a grain. Since adhesive bonds do not adhere sufficiently to such surfaces, the surface of the recess on which the identification element can be placed should have a substantially smooth surface.

The greatest possible protection of the marking element is achieved if the depth of the recess is at least slightly greater than the greatest layer thickness of the marking element. As a result, the outside of the marking element is set back so far from the outside of the container that forces acting from the side cannot find a point of attack.

In principle, there are many ways of attaching the label element to the container. It is particularly cost-effective if an adhesive layer is attached to the back of the film of the label element. When producing the generic

Containers, the labeling elements are peeled off a carrier film and glued onto the neutral manufactured containers.

The transparent plastic layer of the marking element should preferably be made of epoxy resin, as this material is sufficiently transparent and has good mechanical properties.

The containers can be manufactured particularly cost-effectively from plastic, for example by injection molding. However, containers made from metal, for example aluminum, or other materials are of course also conceivable.

The invention is explained in more detail below using the drawing, which only shows a preferred embodiment. It shows:

Fig. 1 shows a container 1, on the top of which a marking element 2 is attached. For this purpose, a recess 3 is incorporated into the surface of the container 1, which is essentially designed to be complementary in shape to the shape of the marking element. The edge 4 of the recess 3 runs in an uninterrupted line at a small distance from the outer edge 5.

Fig. 2 shows the container 1 in cross section along the section line II. The lens-shaped cross section of the marking element 2 can be seen, with the printed film 6 arranged on the underside and the epoxy resin layer 7 arranged above it. The underside of the film 6 is provided with an adhesive layer and adheres to the upper half-shell 8 of the container 1. The depth of the recess 3 is so great that the greatest layer thickness of the marking element 2 does not protrude from the outer surface of the container 1. The two half-shells 8 and 9

Container according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the surface of the recess (3) on which the marking element (2) can be brought into contact is essentially flat. 6. Container according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the surface of the recess (3) on which the marking element (2) can be brought into contact has a substantially smooth surface. 7. Container according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the depth of the recess (3) is at least slightly greater than the greatest layer thickness of the marking element (2). 8.
