The invention relates to a mechanical security device (device) as an addition to existing fittings, with which doors or windows in a fixed frame and a rotating, pivoting sash frame with pane are made more burglar-proof.

The protection effect of the known anti-burglary locks installed on the hinge side, as an addition to existing fittings for pivoting and tilting windows and doors, is not sufficient, as it is well known that such locks are often only screwed onto the frame and are not easy to install, difficult to handle and very expensive to purchase, but do not contribute significantly to burglary protection. (Due to the dimensions and geometry of the locks, usually only on the hinge side or lock side, they are difficult to install and laborious to handle, especially when drilling into the frame and later painting it.)

It is also known to attach profiles to the outside of a door or window that cover the gap, making it difficult for a burglar to use a crowbar. However, it is possible to push the profiles away and force open doors and windows, just like known state-of-the-art security devices that are only attached to or on the frame at certain points or manually retrofittable devices that cannot withstand any major prying forces .

According to the security recommendations of the police, in the most common burglaries, windows and doors, especially the front door, are the target of forcible entry to residential property by pushing, kicking, levering or manipulating locks.

The object of the invention is to improve a device for securing doors and windows in such a way that it is extremely difficult to force open the door or window. At the same time, it should be cost-effective, usable on site and easy to secure.

This problem is solved according to the invention by anchoring special bolt holders on both window/door reveal walls and inserting a bolt profile horizontally into the bolt holder for security purposes, and thus resting against the window/door leaf. This solution is not only particularly simple in terms of construction, but it also provides considerable resistance to burglary by increasing the limit of the lever force many times over.

From pushing or stepping on it to using a crowbar, any force exerted on the window sash or door leaf from the outside is now absorbed by the bolt across its entire surface and transferred to the wall reveal masonry via the bolt holder. Here, the bolt holder absorbs considerable forces on both sides, which would have burst long ago with known constructions, such as screwing onto the frame or locking bolts or small bolts that are only attached to the masonry at specific points and not over a large area. The bolt holders can be manufactured to any strength and anchored deep, inexpensively and without great effort, and can be individually adapted to the structural conditions in order to easily manually absorb loads weighing several tons from windows and doors and transfer them to the masonry.

The most perfect effect is achieved by using two locking structures in the upper and lower door area, in the case of windows above the upper and lower sash frame, and in the case of mullioned windows behind the upper horizontal mullion and lower sash frame.

It is advantageous to make the bar from bright-tensile steel, galvanized (can be colored individually), as a T-profile, square tube or solid rod, in order to ensure the distribution of forces via the bar holder to the wall through high torsional and bending stiffness.

The latch bracket is made from a flat steel profile with a welded-on matching latch bracket so that the respective latch profile can be inserted appropriately.

With a T-profile, it is recommended to notch the end pieces to ensure a precise fit^ Fig.l, item 11)

In the following, we will always refer to a door, but instead of a door, a window can also be arranged in the drawings and in this example description.

A door leaf 2 is attached to the opening in a wall 1, with the wall opening being surrounded by a door frame 3. The door frame forms a recess or a fold against which the door leaf 2 rests.

The side edges of the outside of the door leaf form a door gap 4 with the door frame 3, into which burglars can insert a crowbar in order to break open the door from the outside, and force can also be applied to the door leaf 2 or frame 3 in order to break in.

A latch holder 5 (steel profile with attached latch holder construction 10) is screwed onto the inside of the wall reveal 1, the screws 6 of which are anchored deep into the masonry; a latch 8 (T-profile or similar, rigid profile described above) rests on the inside of the door leaf 7 and rests on both sides in the latch holder 5.

Forces 9 are physically transferred from the outside via the bolts to the bolt holder and thus to the wall 1.

Device for securing windows and doors against burglary (universal or individual) with a bolt holder 5 on both inner walls 1 fastened with screws/bolts/dowels 6, whereby the bolt 8 (steel/aluminium T-profile, square tube or solid rod) is inserted into the bolt holder in order to increase the limit of the levering force in the event of a burglary, characterized in that that the bolt holder 5 (steel profile with welded bolt holder for a T-profile, square tube or solid rod) is anchored in the masonry 1 with screws, bolts or dowels, that the bolt 8 has a T-shaped cross-section, square cross-section or solid bar profile and fits exactly into the bolt holder 5, that when the door / window is closed the bolt 8 rests on the inside of the door leaf 7 / inside of the window sash frame, lies in the bolt holder 5 and transfers forces applied from the outside to the window sash frame or the door leaf, over the entire surface of the bolt to the inside wall and thus effectively withstands attempted break-ins.
