Clamp connection between two preferably made of plastic

The invention relates to a clamp connection between two pipes, preferably made of plastic, one of which is provided with a sleeve equipped with an external thread, into which the other pipe is inserted, the sleeve having an opening edge extending conically inwards, on which a conically tapering sealing ring is supported, which is pressed onto the pipe inserted into the sleeve by means of a union nut fixed to the external thread of the sleeve.

A clamp connection of this type is known in which the sealing ring made of rubber or plastic forms a separate part, which rests with an annular contact surface on a corresponding support surface of the union nut when the latter is screwed onto the external thread of the sleeve. In this case, the sealing ring, which tapers conically towards the free opening edge, works together with an internal cone of the sleeve and is pressed onto the pipe inserted into the sleeve.

The invention is based on the object of reducing the number of functional parts of the clamp connection mentioned above and simplifying assembly.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the sealing ring is integral with the union nut.

The clamp connection according to the invention thus requires separate production, storage and assembly of the sealing ring.

Further features of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

An embodiment of the clamping connection according to the invention is shown in the drawings and is described below.

The pipe 1 has a socket 2 which is provided with an external thread 3. After slipping a union nut 4 onto the second pipe 5, the pipe 5 is inserted into the socket 2 and then clamped into place by screwing the internal thread 6 of the union nut 4 onto the external thread 3.

To achieve this clamping connection, the sleeve is provided with an inner cone 8 extending from the opening edge 7, which interacts with a sealing ring 9, which tapers conically towards the free edge 10 and is in one piece with the union nut 4.

The union nut 4 has a socket 11 on the insertion side for the pipe 5 that can be inserted into the socket 2 of the pipe 1, which has a diameter that is the same as the outer diameter of the threaded part of the union nut 4. This socket 11 is provided with a cone 12 on the insertion side. The cone 12 merges into a cylindrical part 13 equipped with internal ribs, to which the sealing ring 9 is connected.

The union nut is made of a rubber-elastic plastic to ensure good deformability of the sealing ring 9.
