Im Anschluß daran wird eine Umwälzpumpe der Geschirrspülmaschine im Abstand von e,twa 10 Minuten für ca. 10 Sekunden eingeschaltet, um die Einweichflüssigkeit im Spülraum mittels . Sprühvorrichtungen zu verteilen und auf diese Weise das eingebrachte Spülgut zu benetzen. Durch diese Anfeuchtung des Spülgutes werden hartnäckige Verschmutzungen eingeweicht und können im nachfolgenden Spülprogramm restlos abgelöst werden. Um diese Einweichwirkung zu verstärken kann der Benutzer beim Einstellen des Einweichprogrammes eine geringe Menge Geschirrspül-Reiniger (z.
