Hierbei ist die selbstklebcndc Klebeschicht 10 mit dem Abdeckstreifen 11 dem Beschauer zugekehrt, wobei der Bandabschnitt 2. wie auch bei Anbringen des Bandes nach den F i g. 7 bis 11. um etwa 90^c odor mehr nach außen geklappt ist, so daß die thermoplastische Klebstoffschicht 6 des Bandabschnittes 2 sichtbar und frei zugänglich wird. Nunmehr wird der Abdeckstreifen 11 absatzweise um jeweils etwa eine Handbreite in Richtung des Pfeiles 30 gelöst, so daß die Klebeschicht 10 frei wird und nunmehr das Hosenbein 20 absatzweise in Richtung des Pfeiles 31 auf die Klebeschicht 10 aufgeklebt wird, so daß der Bandabschnitt 1 gegenüber dem Hosenbein 20 fixiert ist. Die beschriebene Arbeitsweise erfolgt um den ganzen Umfang des Hosenbeins 20, so daß es nicht des Feststeckens des Bandes an dem Hosenbein bedarf. Ist auf diese Weise das Band an dem Bekleidungsstück in seiner genauen Lage ohne Hilfsmittel fixiert, so erfolgt das Umschlagen des Bandes und des Abschnittes 25 des Hosenbeines in der in Verbindung mit den Fig. 7 — 11 beschriebenen Art. — In Fig. 13 ist ein Abschnitt 20a des Bekleidungsstückes mit dem Abschnitt 10,7 der Klebeschicht 10 bereits verbunden, während ein weiterer Abschnitt der Klebeschicht !0 noch durch den Abdeckstreifen 11 bei 32 abgedeckt ist.
