Das vorliegende Verfahren bezweckt ebenfalls wie das Hauptpatent 269794 die Oxydation von Aluminiumsulfit zu Aluminiumsulfat mittels Luft, erweitert aber dasselbe durch folgenden neuen technischen Effekt:The present process, like the main patent 269794, aims at oxidation from aluminum sulfite to aluminum sulfate by means of air, but extending the same through following new technical effect:
In der Beschreibung des Hauptpatentes ist gesagt, daß bei der eingehaltenen Temperatur eine gewisse Zersetzung des Aluminiumsufits in seine Komponenten Aluminiumhydroxyd und schweflige Säure eintritt, welche bei weiterer Berührung zusammen mit Luft in Aluminiumsulfat übergeführt werden.In the description of the main patent it is said that at the temperature maintained some decomposition of the aluminum sulfite into its components aluminum hydroxide and Sulphurous acid enters, which on further contact with air turns into aluminum sulphate be transferred.
Aus diesen Zeilen läßt sich ohne weiteres folgern, daß man an Stelle des Aluminiumsulfits dessen Komponenten, Aluminiumhydroxyd und schweflige Säure, in der aus der Patentschrift bekannten Weise aufeinander wirken lassen kann. Es ist aber daraus nicht selbstverständlich, daß man an Stelle des Aluminiumhydroxyds andere Tonerdeverbindungen nehmen kann, die nicht ohne weiteres durch SO2 angegriffen werden. Weitere Untersuchungen jedoch führten zu dem Resultat, daß man ebensogut an Stelle von Aluminiumhydroxyd andere von SO2 unter gewöhnlichen Bedingungen nicht angreifbare Tonerdeverbindungen nehmen kann. Das Verfahren wird ganz analog dem Beispiele im Hauptpatent 269794 ausgeführt, nur mit der Abänderung, daß an Stelle des Aluminiumsulfits z. B. Ton genommen und der Luft ein gewisser Prozentsatz SO2 beigemischt wird.The process is carried out analogously to the examples in the main patent 269794, only with the modification that instead of aluminum sulfite z.
