Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf neue Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate der Formel:

worin X Chlor oder Brom bedeutet und R Wasserstoff oder eine Alkyl-s substituierte Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl-, substituierte
Cycloalkyl-j Alkenyl-oder Alkinylgruppe bedeutet, auf Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Verbindungen sowie
auf Präparate, die diese Verbindungen enthalten. Die Verbindungen haben herbizide Aktivität.
Bei Untersuchungen mit dem Zweck, neue Herbizide aufzufinden, wurde festgestellt, dass die neuen Verbindungen
der obigen Formel I eine hervorragende herbizide Aktivität gegen Gräser und breitblättrige Unkräuter
zeigen. Die Verbindungen der Formel I sind hochwirksam gegen einjährige und winterharte Gräser oder Unkräuter
und können wirksam als Herbizide in Sumpfreisfeldern und/oder bebauten Landerexen verwendet werden.

Gegen die Verbindungen der Formel I empfindliche Gräser und Unkräuter sind in Sumpfreisfeidern: einjährige, einkeimblättrige
Pflanzen, wie Hühnerhirse (Echinochloa oryzicola Vasing.), "umbrella plant" (Cyperus difformis L.),
Monochoria (Monochoria vaginalis PRESL.) usw., einjährige '
zweikeimblättrige Pflanzen, wie "false pimpernel" (Lindernia procumbens Philcox), "toothcup" (Rotala indica
.KOEHNE), Vogelmiere (Stellaria media Viii.) usw., und
winterharte Unkräuter, wie Sumpfbinse (Eleocharis acicularis Roem et Schult.), Sagittaria pygmaea Miq., Cyperus
serotinus Rottb., Scirpus juncoides Roxb. var.
ohwianus J. Koyama usw.; und in bebauten Ländereien: einjährige
einkeimblättrige Pflanzen, wie Pingergras (Digitaria adscendens HENR.), Setaria viridis Beauv., Echinochloa
crus-galli Beauv. var. praticola Ohwi, Panicum dichotomiflorum
Michx., Commelina communis L., Wasserfuchsschwanz
(Alopecurus aqualis Sobol. var. amurensis Ohwi), einjähriges Rispengras (Pea annua L.) usw., und einjährige
zweikeimblättrige Pflanzen, wie Fuchsschwanz (Amaranthus retroflexus L.), weisser Gänsefuss (Chenopodium
album L.), "inutade" (Polygonum Blumei Meisn.) und Kohlportulak (Portulaca oleracea L.), Sida spinosa L.,
Abutilon theophrasti Medic, Xanthium strumarium L., und winterharte Unkräuter, wie Sorghum halepense Pers. Die
Verbindungen der Formel I können sowohl vor dem Auflaufen
als auch nach dem Auflaufen aufgebracht werden. Im Hinblick
auf die hohe Selektivität der.' Verbindungen der Formel I bei der Anwendung zur Vorauflaufbehandlung von Kulturpflanzen,
insbesondere von Leguminosen (Hülsenfrüchten), vermögen diese Verbindungen der Formel I die oben genannten
Unkräuter selektiv zu bekämpfen, ohne Sojabohnen oder andere Kulturpflanzen wesentlich zu schädigen. Aufgrund

dieser Feststellungen wurden weitere Untersuchungen ausgeführt,
die zur vorliegenden Erfindung führten.
Wenn R in Formel I Alkyl bedeutet, kann es sich um eine unverzweigte oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe, wie
Methyl, Aethyl, Propyl, Isopropyl, Butyl, Isobutyl, sek.-Butyl,
tert.-Butyl, Pentyl, Isopentyl, Hexyl, Heptyl, Octyl, Nonyl, Decyl, Lauryl oder Stearyl, handeln, wobei
Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen besonders bevorzugt
werden.
Beispiele von substituierten Alkylgruppen sind Alkylgruppen, die z.B. durch Hydroxyl, Cyano, Halogen,
beispielsvjeise Chlor, Brom usw., Carboxyl, unverzweigte oder verzweigte Alkoxygruppen mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen,
beispielsweise Methoxy, Aethoxy, Isopropoxy, n-Propoxy usw., Alkoxycarbonylgruppen mit 1 bis h Kohlenstoffatomen,
beispielsweise Aethoxycarbonyl usw., Acyloxygruppen mit 1 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, beispielsweise
Acetoxy, Propionyloxy, Benzoyjoxy usw., Furylgruppen, die gegebenenfalls substituiert sein können, beispielsweise
durch Nitro, Halogen oder Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatomenj Gruppen der Formel:

worin R unverzweigtes oder verzweigtes Alkyl mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt und m eine ganze Zahl von 0
bis 2 ist, substituiert sind.
In der Formel VIII bedeutet das Halogen vorzugsweise Chlor oder Brom, das Niederalkyl vorzugsweise eine
Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatomen und das Niederalkoxy vorzugsweise eine Alkoxygruppe mit 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatomen.
Die Gruppe der Formel VIII ist vorzugsweise eine unsubstituierte Phenylgruppe oder eine durch einen
oder zwei Substituenten, wie Chlor oder Methyl, substituierte Phenylgruppe. Bevorzugte Beispiele von Gruppen
der Formel IX sind Aethylthio, n-Propylthio, n-Butylthio,
Aethylsulfinylj Aethylsulfonyl, n-Propylsulfinyl, n-Propyl-
· sulfonyl und n-Butylsulfonyl.
Besonders erwünschte substituierte Alkylgruppen enthalten einen unverzweigten Alkylrest mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen.
Die substituierten Alkylgruppen können zwei oder mehr Substituenten enthalten, die gleich oder verschieden
sein können.
Beispiele von Cycloalkylgruppen sind Cycloalkylgruppen mit 3 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen, vorzugsweise 3 bis
Kohlenstoffatomen, wie Cyclopropyl, Cyclobutyl, Cyclopentyl oder Cyclohexyl. Beispiele von substituierten Cycloalkylgruppen
sind Cycloalkylgruppen, die z.B. durch Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogenatome, beispielsweise
Chlor, Brom usw., substituiert sind. Die Alkenylgruppen sind vorzugsweise Alkenylgruppen mit 2 bis 8 Koh-

lenstoffatomen, insbesondere 3 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen,
wie AlIyI3 Methallyl, Pentenyl, Butenyl oder Hexenyl. Die
Alkinylgruppen sind vorzugsweise Alkinylgruppen mit 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere 3 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen,
wie Propargyl. Diese Alkenyl- bzw. Alkinylgruppen können gegebenenfalls substituiert sein, z.B. durch Phenylgruppen.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I können z.B. hergestellt werden, indem man ein Tetrahydroisophthalimid der
Formel:

Wenn die Verbindung der Formel III ein primäres Amin ist, kann dieses entweder in Form der freien Base
oder in Form einec Salzes, dessen Anion die Reaktion nicht beeinflusst, verwendet werden. Beispiele von Salzen der
primären Amine der Formel III-sind Salze mit Halogenwasserstoffen,
z.B. Chlorwasserstoff, Bromwasserstoff usw., und mit anorganischen oder organischen Säuren, wie Schwefelsäure,
Salpetersäure, Oxalsäure, Essigsäure usw.. Falls die Verbindung der Formel III Ammoniak ist, kann sie in

Gasform oder in Lösung, vorzugsweise mit einem Lösungsmittel , verwendet werden. Die Reaktion wird normalerweise
unter Verwendung von ca. 1 bis mehreren Molen, vorzugsweise ca. 1 bis 1,2 Mol, der Verbindung der Formel III
pro Mol der Verbindung der Formel II ausgex ührt. Die Reaktion
wird zxtfeckmässig in einem inerten Lösungsmittel, wie
einem Kohlenwasserstoff, beispielsweise Benzol, Toluol,
Hexan, Cyclohexan usw., einem halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff, beispielsweise Dichlormethan, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff,
Chlorbenzol usw., Diäthylather, Dioxan, Tetrahydrofuran,
Acetonitril, Aceton, Methyläthylketon, Aethylacetat, ilitrobenzol oder dergleichen, ausgeführt. Die
Reaktion wird normalerweise bei ca. 5 bis ca. 60°C, vorzugsweise
zwischen 20 und 400C, ausgeführt. Normalerweise
beträgt die Reaktionsdauer ca. 5 Minuten bis ca. 10 Stunden, zweckmässig 10 Minuten bis 1 Stunde.
Die so erhaltene Verbindung der Formel I kann « nach an sich bekannten Verfahren isoliert und gereinigt
werden, beispielsweise durch Einengen, Einengen unter vermindertem Druck, Extrahieren mit einem Lösungsmittel,
Phasentransfer, Kristallisation, Umkristallxsation und Chromatographie.
Die Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate der Formel I können auch hergestellt werden, indem man ein Tetrahydroisophthalimid
der Formel:

Das Amin der Formel V kann in Form der freien Base oder in Form eines Salzes, wie sie oben im Zusammenhang
mit der Verbindung der Formel III erwähnt wurde, verwendet werden. Allgemein kann diese Reaktion unter den
gleichen Bedingungen ausgeführt werden, die im Zusammenhang mit der Umsetzung der Verbindung der Formel II mit
der Verbindung der Formel III erläutert wurden. Somit können die Mengenverhältnisse der Reaktionsteilnehmer, das
Lösungsmittel, die Temperatur, die Reaktionsdauer, die Isolierungcjverfahren und andere Parameter unter den weiter
oben erwähnten gewählt werden.
Die Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate der Formel I können auch mittels eines Verfahrens synthetisiert werden,
bei dem eine Tetrahydrophthalamidsäure unter Wasserabspaltung direkt mit einem primären Amin umgesetzt wird:

Die Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate der Formel worin R Alkylsulfinylalkyl oder Alkylsulfonylalkyl bedeutet,
können auch synthetisiert werden; indem man Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate
der Formel I, worin R eine Alkylthioalkylgruppe bedeutet, oxydiert, z.B. mit m-Chlorperbenzoesäure
oder Wasserstoffperoxyd. Die Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate der Formel I, worin R Acyloxyalkyl bedeutet,
können auch synthetisiert werden, indem man Tetrahydrophthalamidderivate
der Formel I, worin R eine Hydroxyalkylgruppe bedeutet, mit einem entsprechenden Acylierungsmittel,

Die Tetrahydrophthalamidsauren der Formel VI und VII können nach den schematisch oben dargestellten
Verfahren hergestellt werden, d.h. durch Umsetung von

3,ΊjSjG-Tetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid mit einem Amin in
praktisch äquimolaren Mengen in einem inerten Lösungsmittel, normalerweise bei 10 bis 90 0C3 vorzugsweise bei 20
bis 60 0C, während 5 Minuten bis einer Stunde. Beispiele
der genannten inerten Lösungsmittel sind Benzol, Toluol,
Hexan, Dichlormethan, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Chlorbenzol, Diäthyläther, Diozan, Tetrahydrofuran, Acetonitril,
Aceton, Methylethylketon, Aethylacetat und Nitrobenzol.
Obgleich die Verbindungen der Formel VI und VII nach an sich bekannten Verfahren isoliert und gereinigt werden
können, kann man sie mit Vorteil direkt der Cyclisierung unter Wasserabspaltung zu Verbindungen der Formel II bzw.
IV unterwerfen, so dass die Isolierungs- und Reinigungsverfahren umgangen werden. Die Cyclisierung unter Wasserabspaltung
von 3, ^,5>6-Tetrahydrophthalamidsäuren der
Formel VI oder VII wird vorteilhaft in einem inerten Lösungsmittel unter Verwendung eines wasserabspaltenden ,
Kondensationsmittels ausgeführt, Beispiele von wasserabspaltenden Kondensationsmitteln sind Carbodiimide, wie
Dicyclohexylcarbodiimid, Diäthylcarbodiimid usw., Kombinationen von Basen von Acylierungsmitteln und Kombinationen
von Basen mit Säurehalogenide bildenden Mitteln. Beispiele der genannten Basen sind tertiäre organische
Amine, wie Pyridin, Chinolin, Dimethylanilin, Triäthylamin, Trimethylamin usw., und Alkalimetallcarbonate
und -bicarbonate, wie Natriumcarbonat, Natriumhydrogencarbonat,
Kaliumcarbonat usw. Beispiele der genannten Aclierungsmittel sind Chlorkohlensäureester, z.B. Chlorkohlensäuremethylester,
Chlorkohlensäureäthylester usw., sowie Benzoylchlorid, während die genannten Säurehalogenide
bildenden Mittel z.B. Phosgen, Thiony!halogenide,

beispielsweise Thionylchlorid, Thionylbromid usw.,
sowie Phosphoroxychlorid sein können. Die Menge des wasserabspaltenden Kondensationsmittels beträgt normalerweise
ca. 1 bis 2 Mol, vorzugsweise ca. 1 bis 1,2 Mol, pro Mol der Verbindung der Formel VI oder VII. Wenn ein
Carbodiimidderivat als wasserabspaltendes Kondensationsmittel verwendet v;ird, erfolgt die Reaktion normalerweise
bei ca. 0 bis ca. 50 0C. Bei Verwendung einer Kombination
einer Base mit einem Acylierungsmittel oder mit einem Säurehalogenide bildenden Mittel erfolgt die Reaktion
normalerweise bei ca. -15 bis ca. +60 0C. Die Reaktionsdauer
liegt normalerweise im Bereich von ca. 30 Minuten bis ca. 3 Stunden. Das bei dieser Cyclisierungsreaktion
unter Wasserabspaltung verwendete inerte Lösungsmittel kann z.B. ein Kohlenwasserstoff, beispielsweise
Benzol, Toluol, Hexan, Cyclohexan usw., ein halogenierter Kohlenwasserstoff, beispielsweise Dichlormethan,
Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Chlorbenzol usw., Diäthyläther, Dloxan, Tetrahydrofuran, Acetonitril, Aceton, Methyläthylketon,
Aethylacetat oder Nitrobenzol sein.
Obgleich die Verbindungen der Formel II und IV nach im sich bekannten Verfahren isoliert und gereinigt
werden können, kann man sie mit Vorteil direkt mit dem genannten Amin zu der Verbindung der Formel I umsetzen,
wodurch die Isolierungs- und Reinigungsverfahren umgangen werden.
Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen der Formel I können folgendermassen zum Zwecke der Unkrautbekämpfung
verwendet werden: Eine oder zwei oder mehr Verbindungen

der Formel I können zuerst in einem flüssigen Träger, z.B. einem Lösungsmittel, der sich für die beabsichtigte
Anwendung eignet, gelöst oder dispergiert oder mit einem geeigneten festen Träger, z.B. einem Verdünnungsmittel
oder Bindemittel, gemischt oder darauf adsorbiert werden und dann, erforderlichenfalls unter Zusatz von Emulgatoren,
Suspendiermitteln, Streckmitteln, Eindringmitteln, Netzmitteln, die Viskosität erhöhenden Mitteln, Stabilisatoren
und/oder anderen Additiven, zu Anwendungsformen, wie Oellösungen, emulgierbaren Konzentraten, Spritzpulvern,
Stäubemitteln, Granulaten, Tabletten, Aerosolnebeln oder Salben, formuliert werden. Diese Präparate können nach
an sich bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden.
Obgleich die Konzentration der Wirkstoffkomponente
bzvr. Wirkstoffkomponenten in einem solchen herbiziden Mittel von der beabsichtigten Anwendung abhängt,
ist es zweckmässig, z.B. ca. 10 bis 90 Gew.-% im Falle
von emulgierbaren Konzentraten oder Spritzpulvern, ca. 0,1 bis 10 Gew.-% im Falle von Oellösungen und Stäubemitteln
und ca. 1 bis 20 Gew.-% im FaJle von Granulaten
anzuwenden. Selbstverständlich sind aber Abweichungen von den oben angegebenen Bereichen je nach der beabsichtigten
Anwendung zulässig. Bei Verwendung von emulgierbaren Konzentraten und Spritzpulvern werden diese Präparate
vorteilhaft mit einem Verdünnungsmittel, wie Wasser, auf eine geeignete Konzentration, z.B. auf die 100-fache
bis 100.000-fache Verdünnung, verdünnt.

der vorliegenden herbiziden Mittel sind Wasser, Alkohole, beispielsweise Methanol, Aethanol, Aethylenglycol
usw.j Ketone, beispielsweise Aceton, Methyläthylketon usw., Aether, beispielsweise Dioxan, Tetrahydrofuran,
Cellosolve usw., aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, beispielsweise Benzin, Kerosin, Heizöl, Maschinenöl usw.,
aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, beispielsweise Benzol,
Toluol. Xylol, Solventnaphtha, Methylnaphthalin usw., halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, beispielsweise Chloroform,
Tetrachlorkohlenstoff usw., Säureamide, beispielsweise Dimethylformamid usw., Ester, beispielsweise
Aethylacetat, Butylacetat, Fettsaureglycerinester usw., Nitrile, z.B. Acetonitril usw., und andere Lösungsmittel.
Diese Lösungsmittel können allein oder im Gemisch miteinander verwendet werden. Die festen Träger (Verdünnungsmittel
oder das Volumen erhöhende Mittel) können z.B. beliebige Träger, wie pflanzliche Pulver, beispiels-«
weise Sojabohnenmehl, Tabakblätterpulver, Weizenmehl, Sägemehl usw., mineralische Pulver, beispielsweise Kaolin,
Bentonit, säureaktivierter und andere Tone, Talkumpulver, Agalmatolit und andere Talkumsorten, Diatomeenerde,
Glimmerpulver und andere Formen von Siliciumdioxyd, Aluminiumoxyd, Schwefelblume, Aktivkohle usw., oder Gemische
derartiger Träger sein. Diese festen Träger können allein oder in beliebigen Mischungen verwendet
werden.
Als Grundlagen für die Salben kann man unter anderem Polyäthylenglycol, Pectin, Ester mehrwertiger Alkohole
und höherer Fettsäuren, z.B. Glycerylmonostearat, Cellulosederivate, z.B. Methylcellulose, Natriumalginat,

Bentonit, höhere Alkohole, z.B. Glycerin und andere mehrwertige Alkohole, Vaseline, weisse Rohvaseline,
flüssiges Paraffin, Schweineschmalz, pflanzliche OeIe, Lanolin, entwässertes Lanolin, hydrierte OeIe, Wachse,
Harze usw. verwenden. Diese Salbengrundlagen können allein oder in Form von Mischungen miteinander mit oder ohne Zusatz
von oberflächenaktiven Mitteln oder anderen Additiven verwendet werden.
Als Beispiele von oberflächenaktiven Mitteln, die als Emulgatoren, Streckmittel, Eindringmittel, Dispergiermittel
usw. dienen, sind Seifen, Polyoxyalkylaryl-

ester (z.B. Nonal , Takemoto Yushi K.K.), Alkylsulfate
(z.B. Emal 10®, Emal 40 ^H Kao Atlas K.K.), Alkylsulfonate
(z.B. Neogen , Neogen T^-, Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku
K.K., Neopelex ^, Kao Atlas K.K.), Polyäthylenglycol-
äther (z.B. Nonipol 85®, Nonipol ] 00 ®, Nonipol I60 @,
Sanyo Kasei K.K.), Ester mehrwertiger Alkohole (z.B. Tween 20®, Tween 80 ^, Kao Atlas K.K.) usw.
Bei der Verwendung als Herbizid können die Verbindungen der Formel I in einer Menge von ca. 1 bis ca.
50 g, vorzugsweise ca. 2 bis ca. *IO g, pro Ar eines
Sumpfreisfeldes oder von ca. 1 bis ca. 50 g, vorzugsweise ca. 2 bis ca. HO g, pro Ar eines trockenen Feldes
verwendet werden. Vorzugsweise werden die Verbindungen der Formel I als Vorauflaufherbizide verwendet. Die Verbindungen
der Formel I haben eine geringe Toxizität in Bezug auf Säugetiere und Fische und eignen sich daher
für die Verwendung für landwirtschaftliche Zwecke. In herbizide Mittel, die die Verbindungen der Formel I ent-

halten, können ausserdem andere Herbizide, das Pflanzenwachstum regulierende Mittel, Fungizide, z.B. organische
Chlorverbindungen, organische Schwefelverbindungen, Antibiotika usw., Insektizide, z.B. organische Phosphorverbindungen,
natürliche Insektizide usw., Mitizide, Nematozide, synergistische Mittel, Anlockmittel, Abstossmittel,
Pigmente, Düngemittel usw. eingearbeitet v/erden.
Einige beispielhafte Verfahren zur Herstellung
von Verbindungen der Formel II, IV, VI und VII iverden im
folgenden anhand von Bezugsbeispielen beschrieben.
(1) Herstellung von 2-Fluor-4-chloranilin
2-Fluoranilin wurde in Benzol mit Essigsäureanhydrid
zu 2-Fluoracetanilid acetyliert. Das 2-Fluoracetanilid
wurde bei 43 bis 52 0C in Eisessig gehalten und '
1 Aequivalent Chlorgas eingeleitet, wodurch 2-Fluor-4-chloracetanilid
erhalten wurde. Dieses Produkt wurde mit Salzsäure entacetyliert und Natriumhydroxyd neutralisiert,
wobei 2-Flucr-4-chloranilin als OeI erhalten wurde, das bei 64 bis 65 °C/O,25 mm Quecksilbersäule siedet.
(2) Verfahren zur Herstellung von N-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalamidsäure
7,7 g 3j4,5,6-Tetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid
und 1,2 g 2-Fluor-4-chloranilin wurden zu 50 ml Aceton gegeben; nach 5-minütigem Rühren bei 50 bis 55 0C wurde
das Reaktionsgemisch unter vermindertem Druck eingeengt. Die resultierenden Kristalle wurden mit η-Hexan gewaschen.
Ausbeute: 13,2 g; Schmelzpunkt 92 bis 94 0C.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von N-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-
3,4,5j6-fetrahydroisophthalimid
5,0 g K-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-3,4,556-tetrahydrophthalamidsäure
wurden in 40 ml Benzol suspendiert; nach Zusatz von 3,6 g Dicyclohexylcarbodimid wurde die
•Suspension eine Stunde lang bei Raumtemperatur gerührt.
Nachdem das unlösliche Material abfiltriert worden war, wurde das Filtrat unter vermindertem Druck zur Trockene
eingeengt. Die resultierenden Kristalle wurden mit einer kleinen Menge η-Hexan gewaschen, Ausbeute: 3,4 g;
Schmelzpunkt 76 bis 80 0C. Schmelzpunkt nach Umkristallisation
aus einer kleinen Menge Aether 82 bis 84 0C.
(1) Herstellung von 2-Fluor-4-bromanilin
51,0 g 2-Fluorariilin wurden in 200 ml Methylenchlorid
gelöst; unter Kühlen auf 0 0C und Rühren wurden 81,7 g N-Bromsuccinimid in kleinen Mengen im Verlauf
einer Stunde zugesetzt. Das Gemisch wurde weitere 20 Minuten lang gerührt, danach mit kaltem Wasser gewaschen
und über wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat getrocknet. Die Methylenchloridschicht wurde eingeengt und das resultierende
OeI unter vermindertem Druck destilliert. Nach dem obigen Verfahren wurde 2-Fluor-4-bromanilin als OeI erhalten,
das bei 75 bis 80 °C/0,3 mm Quecksilbersäule siedet.
(2) Herstellung von N-(2-Fluor-4-bromphenyl)-3,4,5,6-
t e t r ahydr ο ρ ht haiamid s äur e
16,0 g 3,4,5,6*-Tetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid

und 20,0 g 2-Fluor-!i-'bromanilin wurden zu 100 ml Aceton
gegeben; nach 2-stündigem Rühren bei 40 bis 45 0C wurde
das Gemisch unter vermindertem Druck zur Trockene eingeengt. Die resultierenden Kristalle wurden mit n-IIexan
gewaschen. Ausbeute: 30,3 g; Schmelzpunkt 98 bis 99 "C.
gegeben; nach 2-stündigem Rühren bei 40 bis 45 0C wurde
das Gemisch unter vermindertem Druck zur Trockene eingeengt. Die resultierenden Kristalle wurden mit n-IIexan
gewaschen. Ausbeute: 30,3 g; Schmelzpunkt 98 bis 99 "C.
Bezugsbeispiel 4
Herstellung von N-(2-Fluor-4-bromphenyl)-3,4 _-5,6-tetra-
hydroisophthalimid
84,4 g N-(2-Fluor-4-bromphenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroisophthalamidsäure
und 51jO g Dicyclohexyloarbodnimid
wurden zu 600 ml Toluol gegeben, worauf das Gemisch 2 Stunden lang bei 0 bis 10 0C gerührt wur^e. Der Niederschlag
wurde entfernt und das Filtrat unter vermindertem Druck zur Trockene eingeengt. Das OeI wurde durch Dekantieren
mit η-Hexan gewaschen. Die Kristalle wurden durch Filtration gewonnen und mit einer kleinen Menge kaltem '
η-Hexan gewaschen. Ausbeute: 36,4 g; Schmelzpunkt 45 bis
46 0C.
Bezugsbeispiel'5
Herstellung von N-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetra-
hydroisophthalimid
3,0 g N-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-3J4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalamidsäure
wurden in 30 ml Benzol suspendiert; nach Zusatz von 1,6 g Pyridin wurde eine Lösung von 1,3 g
Thionylchlorid in 5 ml Benzol im Verlauf von 15 Minuten
zugetropft, während die Suspension auf 5 bis 10 0C gehalten wurde. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde bei der gleichen
Temperatur eine Stunde lang gerührt; danach wurde es
zugetropft, während die Suspension auf 5 bis 10 0C gehalten wurde. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde bei der gleichen
Temperatur eine Stunde lang gerührt; danach wurde es

gründlich mit Wasser gewaschen und über wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat
getrocknet. Die Benzolschicht vmrde unter vermindertem Druck eingeengt; unter Zusatz einer kleinen
Menge η-Hexan wurde das resultierende OeI in einem Kühlschrank
aufbewahrt. Die Kristalle, die sich ausschieden, wurden durch Filtration gewonnen und mit einer kleinen
Menge kaltem η-Hexan gewaschen. Ausbeute: 2,5 g; Schmelzpunkt
77 bis 82 0C. Schmelzpunkt nach Umkristallisation aus einer kleinen Menge n-Hexan 82 bis 84 0C.
Die folgenden Verbindungen wurden durch Ausführung der in den Bezugsbeispielen 1 bis 3 beschriebenen
Reaktionen erhalten:

2,8 g N-(2-Fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-3j4,5,6-tetrahydroisophthalimid
wurden in 40 ml Aceton gelöst, worauf unter Rühren bei Raumtemperatur 0,6 g Isopropylamin zugesetzt
wurden. Man liess das Gemisch 10 Stunden lang stehen; danach wurde der Niederschlag durch Filtration gewonnen und

mit Aceton gewaschen. Ausbeute: 350 g; Schmelzpunkt l88

Herstellung von N-Allyl-N'-(2-fluor-4-bromphenyl)-3,4,5,6-
' t etrahydrophthalamid
2,0 g N-(2-Pluor-it-bromphenyl)-3j4J5J6-tetrahydroisophthalimid
wurden in 30 ml Toluol gelöst; eine Lösung von 0,35 g Allylamin in 10 ml Toluol wurde unter
Rühren bei Raumtemperatur zu der obigen Lösung zugetropft.
Das Gemisch wurde 90 Minuten lang gerührt; danach wurde der Niederschlag durch Filtration gewonnen und mit Toluol
gewaschen. Ausbeute: 2,3 g; Schmelzpunkt I67 bis I69 0C.
Herstellung von N-Benzyl-N'-(2-fluor-4-chlorphenyl)-

2,4 g N-Benzyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroisophthalimid
wurden in 50 ml Aceton gelöst, worauf 1,5 g 2-Fluor-4-chloranilin
zugesetzt wurden. Das Gemisch wurde 2 Stunden lang bei 40 bis 50 0C gerührt; danach wurde der Niederschlag
durch Filtration gewonnen und mit Aceton gewaschen. Ausbeute: 3,0 g; Schmelzpunkt 121 bis 123 0C.

2 Kunststofftöpfe mit einer Fläche von 900 cm
wurden mit Kulturlanderde gefüllt; dann wurden die Samen von Fingergras (Digitaria adscendes HENR.), Fuchsschwanz
(Amaranthus retroflexus L.), weissem Gänsefuss (Chenopodium
album L.), "inutade" (Polygonum Blumei MeisnO»
Kohlportulak (Portulaca oleracea L.), Mais (Zea Mays L,)> Sojabohnen (Glycine Max Merr.) und Baumwolle (Gossypium
hirsutum L.) in die Töpfe gesät und danach mit einer 0,5 cm dicken Erdschicht bedeckt. Dann wurde die Oberfläche.-der
Erde in den einzelnen Topfen unter Verwendung einer Spritzpistole gleichmässig mit wässrigen Verdünnungen
von emulgierbaren Konzentraten, die Verbindungen der Formel I enthielten, besprüht. Zu diesem Zweck wurden
die emulgierbaren Konzentrate mit 10 Liter Wasser verdünnt, so dass sich eine Konzentration von 2,5 g>
5g bzw. 10 g der Wirkstoffkomponente (Verbindung der For- «
mel I) pro A.r ergab. Nach 30 Tagen wurden die Wirkungen
der einzelnen Verbindungen und die durch die Verbindungen verursachten Schädigungen untersucht. Die Wirkungen und
Schädigungen werden in gleicher Weise ausgedrückt wie in Beispiel 93·
Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle II wiedergegeben.
