Im mittleren Hohlmantel α befindet sich der Rost c, von dem aus die Heizgase in den zwischen dem Mantel α und b liegenden Kanal d sowie in dem zwischen Mantel b und Bratofen liegenden Kanal e gleichmäßig sich verteilen. Hierbei haben die Klappen die in Fig. 1 gezeigte Stellung. Soll aber die Wärme für die Herdplatte sowie für die Brat- und Wärmeofen nutzbar gemacht werden, so bleibt die Klappe g geschlossen, während die Klappen ^ und i in die in der Zeichnung strichpunktierte Lage gebracht werden, so daß die Heizgase zunächst voll auf die Herdplatte f wirken, um dann die Bratöfen zu umspülen. Um einen direkten Zug, ζ. B. beim Anfeuern, zu erhalten, wird die Klappe g geöffnet, die während des Betriebes ständig geschlossen bleibt. Die Kesselteile α und b sind durch Stutzen k in bestimmtem Abstand voneinander gehalten, welche Stutzen gleichzeitig zur Leitung des Wassers dienen, um einen gemeinsamen ununterbrochenen Umlauf zu erzielen.
