Abstract

The pillow comprises at least two parts (1, 2) enclosed by an air-permeable cover wherein the lower pillow member (1) is designed in a known way with an upward facing trough and consists of a resilient material wherein the trough is then filled up by an upper pillow member (2) made of a softer material. This ensures a comfortable support of the head even with tossing and turning during sleep. The lower pillow member (2) which can be made of foam is pref. covered by a layer (3) of woollen fleece material which serves as an intermediate layer between the upper and lower pillow members and allows adequate ventilation of the pillow to prevent any build up of heat. It is also possible for the pillow members to be inflatable bodies with inflatable cavities wherein the two parts are inflated to different degrees.
