Das Entwicklungsbad enthält bekanntlich neben leicht oxydablen, organischen Stoffen, wie Hydrochinon, Methyl-p-aminophenol usw., ein anorganisches Reduktionsmittel, wie Alkalisulfit, und alkalisch wirkende Substanzen, besonders Alkalikarbonate.
