Description
The invention "relates to an air humidifier based on the evaporator principle of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
Ausserdom haben die Zerstäuber ein relativ lautes LaufgeräusCh0 There are three different systerxes in humidifiers, namely nebulizers. Evaporator and Verdunster (see o the results of TestGi-for since been known humidifier in the magazine "test", 1974, No. 9, pages 460-463). In the case of atomizers, water is pumped out of the water tank, thrown against a grid and thereby atomized into fine droplets, which are blown off in the ö-exi room in which the humidifier is installed. The disadvantage of the atomizer is that the blown-off droplets often form deposits in the room, for example on furniture, glass panes and the like, which damage them and impair their appearance. Furthermore, residues form in the water storage tank, which then represent a breeding ground for bacteria and the like if not all of the water or water droplets in contact with the device are cleaned frequently and regularly. Outside of this, the atomizers have a relatively loud running noise 0
Bei den. Verdunstern wird von einer Pumpe Luft durch ein Papier— oder Schaumstoffilter angesaugt und in den Raum abgegeben;Both. Air is evaporated by a pump through a paper— or foam filter sucked in and released into the room;

The paper or filter material filters are lukewarm, so that the air passing through absorbs moisture .iii; .iu "c. With these devices, the paper or Scliaum filters used very easily become the breeding ground for bacterial cultures and for this reason they have to be changed very frequently «The filters are relatively expensive, so the current one Operation - with the necessary hygiene - for this reason as well is very expensive. In addition, evaporators only have a small amount Output power (amount of evaporated water per unit of time). The water container on this device is also relatively dirty fast.
Since then, the vaporizers have also had significant disadvantages: The steam that is created in the device by heating the water, exits the device at a relatively high temperature, so that there is a risk of scalding. Also condensed the escaping water vapor, if in the room in which the device is installed is set up, the temperature is relatively low, to water droplets, which also result in a disturbing precipitation on furniture, windows and the like. When the water is heated also forms in the water storage container - in principle like with each saucepan - scale; So these devices have to be pretty regularly decalcified with a certain amount of work will. With these devices, too, the power output (vaporized barrel volume per unit of time) is often still relatively low.
The object of the invention is to provide an air humidifier in the preamble T to create the type mentioned, which does not have the disadvantages of the known evaporator described, i.e. in the there is no risk of scalding, the formation of water droplets due to condensation when the water vapor escapes through lower The outlet temperature is reduced and a high output capacity (amount of evaporated water per unit of time) is still achieved is. The device should be easy to handle, i.e. "simple to be refilled and cleaned.
This task is carried out in the characterizing part of the patent claim 1 specified features solved.

Es findet also hier noch innerhalb des GehäusesDei "air humidifier according to Fig. 1 has a housing 1, a tank 2 filled with water, in the lower area of the housing designed as a water container shell 3, above the surface 4 of the water flowing into the shell 3 from the tank 2 two heating rods 5 and 6, as well as on the side over the heating rod two reflectors 7, 8, which do not reflect the heat emitted directly onto the surface 4 by the heaters 5 and 6, respectively Cause thermal radiation that is direct or indirect, i.e. after reflection on the reflectors 7, 8 on the surface 4 of the water in the shell 3 impinging thermal radiation causes heating of the water surface and thus an evaporation of the water. The water vapor 9 resp. 9 ′ pulls upward through the area 10 of the housing 1 lying next to the water tank 2. He takes his way in essentially between the two heating rods 5 and 6 respectively up through the opening 11, which results between the reflectors 7 »8 and leaves the housing 1 or its Area 10 through slots 12 in its top. The rising water vapor 9 'unfolds above the opening between the reflectors 7 and 8 a certain suction effect, so that through the slots 13 »those in the side walls of the housing 1 are provided, fresh air i4 is sucked in will. So it still takes place here inside the case
Voraussetzung dafür ist natürlich, dass die öffnung 17, mit der der Deckel 18 in die Schale 3 eintaucht, die einzige Öffnung des ansonsten luftdicht verschlossenen bzw. verschliessbaren TankesThe supply of water from the tank 2 into the bowl 3 takes place in such a way that the height h of the surface 4 of the water in the bowl 3 above the bottom 4 1 of the bowl 3, ie the height of the water level in the bowl 3 'always remains constant. This is achieved in that the opening 17 of the lid 1S of the tank 2 is closed by the surface 4 of the water in the bowl 3 'as soon as it has reached the height h. Air can enter via the opening 17 and thus water can flow in again from the tank 2 when the surface of the water in the bowl 3 sinks below the height h. A prerequisite for this is, of course, that the opening 17 with which the cover 18 dips into the shell 3 is the only opening of the otherwise airtight or closable tank

The cover IS is screwed onto the nozzle 19 of the tank 2. A ball valve, which is formed by a ball 20 and a spring 21, is provided in the interior of the cover 18. The spring 21 is supported on a support plate 22 which is fastened to the cover IS via struts 23. If the tank 2 is removed, the spring 21 presses the ball 20 against the seat surface 2h on the inside of the cover 18 and thus closes the opening 2o, which merges into the opening 17. In the inserted state of the tank 2 according to FIG. 1, the ball is against the force of the spring 21 by a pin. 25 lifted from the seat 2h so that, as described, water can flow into the shell 3 from the tank 2. The pin 25 is designed as an integral part of the shell 3 and is thinner than the inner diameter of the opening 26. If the tank 2 is inserted, as shown in FIG. 1, just as much water flows from the tank 2 into the shell 3 that the surface h of the water always has the height h; the tank 2 is removed, the valve closes formed by the spring 21 and the ball 20, so that the tank 2 can be removed for refilling without water flowing out of it, the lid 18 is unscrewed from the connector 19 o for refilling. The tank 2 is provided with a molded handle 27. As can be seen from Fig. 2, the tank is also provided with a bulge 28 in which a floating ball 29 is arranged. The bulge 28 can be seen from the outside of the housing 1 through a longitudinal slot 30 in the housing 1; the tank 2 is also made of transparent or transparent material, preferably plastic, so that the height of the float ball 29 and thus the water level in the tank 2 can be observed through the longitudinal slot 30.

Furthermore, the pin 38, which can be displaced in the plate 37, which is pulled to the left by the spring 39, as well as the contact ^ O, which is also in the Siroin supply circuit of the lleizstu.be 5, is located, ensures that the heating elements 5> 6 can only be supplied with power when the shell 3 is in the position shown in FIG inserted and thus also the pin 38 against the force of the Spring 39 is so 'pressed to the right that it makes contact 4θ closes ο This is a safeguard against operation of the device given with the shell 3 removed.
The output of the ¥ 6 rods is designed in such a way that a temperature of approx. 65 - 68 C results on the surface 4 of the water in the shell 3. The temperature at the bottom 41 of the shell 3 is about 10 ° C. lower. If one then takes into account the mentioned process that the water vapor 9 or 9 1 up to its exit from the slots 12 directly above the upper edge of the shell 3 through the openings 1o and above the opening 11 between the reflectors 7 u. S again through the slots I3 has already taken in fresh air 14 or, it follows that the water vapor emerging from the housing 1 is already highly enriched with fresh air and its temperature has already been reduced to such an extent that there is a risk of scalding, as is the case with known air humidifiers based on the evaporator principle is not applicable. The enrichment of the water vapor with fresh air already carried out in the device facilitates the distribution of the moisture concentration of the escaping water vapor in the room or accelerates it. The formation of condensation in the room is largely eliminated.

As a result of the favorable arrangement of the heating rods 6, 5 directly above the surface k , on which the evaporation of the water takes place, as well as the reflectors 7 and 8, which work with relatively little heat loss, the efficiency of this evaporator (water output per unit power consumption) is in relation to the since then known vaporizers extremely cheap. Provided the power consumption. due to the heating rods is higher than with air humidifiers (atomizers, evaporators) that work according to other systems, this is due to the fact that these devices have a significantly lower output power (amount of water released per unit of time), due to the fact that in these known devices some of the water is released is caused by a heat extraction from the environment, which does not make itself felt in the establishment of the power balance in a direct electrical power consumption of the device, but in a higher heating requirement for the environment that is to be humidified by the device.
