des 3 - Oxy (1) thionaphtens.des 3 - oxy (1) thionaphthene.
Patentiert Im Deutschen Reiche vom 3. Februar 1907 ab. Patented in the German Empire on February 3 , 1907.
It was found that the N-substitution products the arylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acids, namely the amino, acidylamino or alkylamino acids, such as B. the m- or p-acetaminothioglycol-o-carboxylic acid, can be condensed on heating with alkali hydrate to form new bodies, which as in the aryl radical are amino- substituted 3 - oxy (i) thionaphthene - 2 - carboxylic acids are to be addressed; these turned out to be suitable as starting materials for a number of valuable dyes.
Erhitzt man beispielsweise die Acetylaminophenylthioglykol-o-carbonsäure ;For example, if the acetylaminophenylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid is heated ;

Sonach, mußten die Aminosubstitutionsprodukte der Phenylthioglykol-o-carbonsäure zur Bildung eines Farbstoffs der Thioindigoreihe auf diesem Wege ebensowenig befähigt erscheinen, wie z.B. die Nitrosubstitütionsprodukte. ao 170 0 , dissolves the melt in water and oxidizes with potassium ferricyanide or passes through; the aqueous solution of the melt air, a brownish solution is obtained, but no dye that can be addressed as a thioindigo derivative. Accordingly, the amino substitution products of phenylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid did not appear to be capable of forming a dye of the thioindigo series in this way any more than, for example, the nitro substitution products.
Surprisingly, however, a sample mixed with bicarbonate dissolved in water gave the Alkaline melt of acetaminophenylthioglycolocarboxylic acid on addition of chloralliydiate when heated, a "reaction very similar to that of the unsubstituted melt 3-Oxythionaphten-2-carboxylic acid has been recognized as characteristic, namely the smooth Formation of a blue dye. So there had to be a ring closure, the resulting product but not be readily convertible into a dye of the thioindigo series,. . · .: a guess that turned out to be correct. The ring closure occurs even in a surprising manner easier and smoother way - it already starts at 130 ° - without the elimination of ammonia entry. The resulting derivative of 3-oxy- (i) thionaphten-2-carboxylic acid can be obtained from the melt as a sparingly soluble sodium salt by treatment with a little water, or else through Acidification with acetic acid, and it has been shown that the product isolated in this way, by certain oxidizing agents in the absence of excess alkali metal hydrate can also be converted into the sought-after diaminothioindigo.

The solution is after adding 150 ecm concentrated hydrochloric acid and diazoticrt of ice with 250cm double-noimalmtrit solution. The diazo solution is left at about 70 to 75 ° in a solution of 100 g of xanthate and 200 g of soda run in; the filtered solution is dissolved with 75 g of chloroacetic acid in 90 g of caustic soda and Water is added and the mixture is heated to the boil for 3 hours. After filtration, it is diluted with Hydrochloric acid precipitated, with the acetate ninophenylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid precipitates as a yellowish dense powder.
Zur Herstellung der 6-Amino-3-oxy(i)thionaphten-2-carbonsäure bzw. des 6-Amino-3-For the production of 6-amino-3-oxy (i) thionaphten-2-carboxylic acid or the 6-amino-3-
Die Temperatur wird allmählich unter Umrühren bis auf 170 ° gesteigert und ι bis 2 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur gehalten.ao oxy (i) thionaphtens one proceeds in the following way Way: 30 parts of the acetylated amino acid are in 180 parts of caustic soda, which with 20 parts of water · is liquefied, entered at about 100 °. The temperature will be gradual increased with stirring up to 170 ° and kept ι up to 2 hours at this temperature.
Die Isolierung des gebildeten Kondensationsprodukts kann in verschiedener Weise erfolgen:'The condensation starts at 130 °, like can be determined by means of chloral hydrate, only one has a longer time at this temperature Termination of the melt necessary. One can also proceed in such a way that one works with less alkali or heated under pressure. Isolation of the condensation product formed can be done in different ways:
.So you can z. B. stir with a little water, the precipitated here, in alkali hydrate Sodium salt of 6-amino-3-oxy (i) thionaphthene-2-carboxylic acid which is difficult to dissolve in water and is very easily soluble suck off the excess alkali hydrate solution. .
The 6-amino-3-oxy (i) thionaphten-2-carboxylic acid can be obtained from the aqueous solution of the Melt can also be obtained by direct acidification with acetic acid, whereby it is used as a crystalline gray powder is precipitated. It dissolves in excess hydrochloric acid in the Warmth, carbonic acid development occurs when boiling, is released from the hydrochloric acid solution 6-Amino-3-0xy (i) thionaphthene can then be obtained by precipitating it with sodium acetate or bicarbonate precipitate as a crystalline powder. This dissolves in hot water and crystallizes when cooling off. It is soluble in alkali hydrate and excess mineral acid. By Both aminooxythionaphthene and aminooxythionaphthenecarboxylic acid can be used for certain oxidizing agents convert into an amino-substituted thioindigo, e.g. B. when heating in neutral or slightly alkaline soda Solution with potassium ferricyanide.
If the aforementioned aminothioglycol-o-carboxylic acid is treated with N-alkylieicndeii agents and condensed the so obtained N-alkyl derivatives with caustic soda are obtained the corresponding alkylaminooxytbionaphthene derivatives.

The resinous product is heated for some time to 170 to 180 ° with five to six times the weight of caustic soda and a little water, the melt is dissolved in water and the N-methylated 6-aininooxythionaphthene is precipitated by acidification. go
The methylated 6-Aminooxythionaphten forms a gray-brown powder, decomposes when heated, dissolves more difficultly in acids than the free amino compound, is easily soluble in alcohol, ether and glacial acetic acid, easily dissolves in caustic alkalis, from which solution with the addition of : Oxidizing agents a red-brown dye is precipitated, which dyes cotton and wool in the vat in redder tones than the dye obtained from unmethylated 6-aminooxythionaphthene.

(hergestellt in der in Beispiel I beschriebenen no : Weise, nur unter Ersatz der m-Acetamino- ■ anthranilsäure durch die p-Acetaminoanthranilsäure) beim Erhitzen mit Alkalihydraten auf etwa i8o°, Ansäuern der Schmelzlösung mit Essigsäure (oder Isolierung des Natronsalzes 'durch Anrühren der Schmelze mit wenig Wasser ■ ; und Absaugen, Lösen in Wasser und Ausfällen mit Essigsäure) die 5-Amino-3-oxy(i)thionaph-. ten-2-carbonsäure,. Diese löst sich in kalter Sodalösung farblos auf; beim Erhitzen erstarrt iao die Flüssigkeit zu einem Brei chinongelber Nädelchen von 5-Amino-3-oxy(i)thionaphten;(produced in the no described in Example I: Way, only by replacing the m-acetamino anthranilic acid with the p-acetamino anthranilic acid) when heated with alkali hydrates to about 180 °, acidification of the melt solution with Acetic acid (or isolation of the sodium salt by stirring the melt with a little water; and suction, dissolving in water and precipitation with acetic acid) the 5-amino-3-oxy (i) thionaph-. ten-2-carboxylic acid ,. This dissolves colorless in cold soda solution; iao solidifies when heated the liquid to a paste of quinone yellow needles of 5-amino-3-oxy (i) thionaphtene;
letzteres löst sich in Äther mit auffallend starker gelbgrünlicher Fluoreszenz, in Natronlauge und in Mineralsäuren jedoch farblos ohne Fluoreszenz; Bei vorsichtiger Oxydation mit Luft in sodaalkalischcr Lösung oder mit Ferricyankalium in soda- bzw. bicarbonathaltiger Lösung erhält man p-p-Diaminothioindigo in schwarzen Flocken ausgeschieden; dieser färbt Wolle und Baumwolle in der Küpe in graublauen Tönen an.the latter dissolves in ether with a strikingly strong yellow-greenish fluorescence, in caustic soda and in mineral acids, however, colorless without fluorescence; With careful oxidation with air in soda-alkaline solution or with ferricyanide in soda or bicarbonate-containing solution Solution, p-p-diaminothioindigo is excreted in black flakes; this colors Wool and cotton in the vat in gray-blue tones.
The reaction is also to other amino or acidyl or alkylamino substitution products the arylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid transferable.
