In der Zeichnung ist mein Kamin mit ausziehbarem Feuerkorb veranschaulicht und geht
seine Construction aus Fig. 1 und 2, worin der Feuerkorb seine gewöhnliche Stelle im Kamin
und seine vorgerückte Lage aufserhalb desselben einnimmt, hervor.In the drawing, my fireplace is shown with an extendable fire basket and goes

Der Feuerkorb A und das aus Chamotte hergestellte Gehäuse B sind auf einer Platte C befestigt,
deren Rollen D auf Schienen B ruhen, welch letztere angeordnet sind, um den Feuerkorb
mit Gehäuse ohne Schwierigkeit hin- und herschieben zu können. Von dem hinteren Ende
des Gehäuses B führt die biegsame Röhre H, welche die Communication mit dem Schornstein
K herstellt. Diese Röhre ist aus in einander verschiebbaren, entsprechend gestalteten
Ringtheilen r zusammengesetzt, derart, dafs sich die Röhre jeder Stellung des fahrbaren Feuerkorbes
mit Gehäuse anpafst. Oben ist der Kamin durch eine Eisenplatte / von dem Schornstein
getrennt und nimmt diese Platte den letzten Ringtheil der biegsamen Röhre H auf. Letztere
gleitet bei der Vorbewegung des Korbes eine gewisse Strecke über Rollen G, die an der
hinteren Kaminwand angebracht sind. Ein oder mehrere Ringe L auf der Vorderseite des Gehäuses
B dienen zweckmäfsig als Angriff bei der Bewegung der fahrbaren Kaminpartie.The fire basket A and the chamotte-made casing B are mounted on a plate C , the rollers D of which rest on rails B , the latter being arranged in order to be able to slide the fire basket with casing back and forth without difficulty. Das Anzünden des Brennmaterials geschieht bei der in Fig. 1 vorgeführten Stellung des
Feuerkorbes im Kamin und läfst man zum gröfseren Theil die Rauchgase zuvor durch den
Schornstein entweichen, ehe der Korb vorgezogen wird. Man erhält in der vorgerückten
Position des Korbes nicht nur die durch das Feuer direct erzeugte Wärme, sondern auch
diejenige, welche das erhitzte, aus feuerfestem Material bestehende Gehäuse B abgiebt. Die
Wärme, welche von letzterem und dem Feuerkorbe ausstrahlt, kann dazu benutzt werden,
