Description
- "Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Verschweißen von Verbundfolien" Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Verschweißen von übereinanderliegenden Eunststoffverbundfolien, die eine Schicht aus thermoplastischem Material, z.B. Polyäthylen und eine weitere Schicht aus nicht thermoplastischem Material mit höherem Schmelzpunkt z.B. Polyamid, aufweisen, sowie zum Abtrennen der miteinander verschweißten Folienteile von den nicht verschweißten Folienteilen.
- Bei den bekannten Verbund folien, die beispielsweise zur luftdichten Verpackung von Lebensmitteln und für Schutz kleidung Anwendung finden, weist die thermoplastische Schicht einen Schmelzpunkt von etwa 12o Grad auf9 während die nicht thermoplastische Schicht erst bei etwa 22o Grad schmilzt. Bei einer Erhitzung der Folie auf die Schmelz temperatur der nicht thermoplastischen Schicht würde die thermoplastische Schicht zerstört werden0 Derartige Ver.
- bundfolien werden daher in der Praxis zunazhst bei einer Temperatur von etwa 12o Grad verschweißt und anschließend die verschweißten Teile mit Hilfe mechanischer Schneidwerkzeuge von den außerhalb der Schweißnaht .liegenden Folienteilen getrennte Da die für derartige Folien verwendeten nicht thermoplastischen Kunststoffe verhältnismäßig spröde sind, werden die Schneidwerkzeuge rasch abgenutzt. Außerdem führt die Hiterialsprödigkeit dazu, daß die Folenränder beim Ausstanzen zum Teil bis in die Schweißnaht einreissen, so daß z.B. Verpackungen an diesen Stellen leicht undicht werden können.
- Bei unregelmäßig geformten Schweißnihten, wie sie beispielsweise bei Schutzkleidungen aus Verbundfolie auftreten, ist außerdem der Aufwand für das Herstellen und Nachschärfen der Schneidwerkzeuge außerordentl ch hoch.
- Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, das Verfahren zum Verschweißen von Verbundfolien, sowie das Abtrennen der verschweißten Folienteile wesentlich zu vereinfachen und den Vorrichtungsaufwand zum Durchführen dieses Verfahrens erheblich zu verringern.
- Erfindungsgemäß wird diese 1;tifgabo dadurch gelöst, daß die Folien im Bereich der Schweißnaht unter Druck auf Schweißtemperatur erhitst und entlang der Schweißnaht gleichzeitig eine schmals Zone au@ die Schmelztemperatur «r nicht thermoplastischen Folienschicht erhitzt wird.
- Dabei erfolgt die Erhitzung auf Schmelztemperatur vorteilhaft ebenfalls unter Druck.
- Durch das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird es möglich, Verbundfolien in einem Arbeitsgang miteinander zu verschweißen und die miteinander verschweißten Folienteile von den übrigen Folienteilen zu trennen, wobei die beim mechanischen Abtrennen infolge der Naterialsprödigkeit auftretende -Rißblldung sicher verhindert wird.
- Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren läßt sich vorteilhaft mit einer Vorrichtung ausübgen, die einen entsprechend der Linienführung der Schweißnaht geformten kontinuierlich auf Schweißtempertur beheizten Schweißbacken aufweist, an dem entlang ein auf Schmelztemperatur erhitzbarer Schmelzbacken angeordnet ist, der gegenüber dem Schweißbacken thermisch und/oder elektrisch isoliert ist.
- Besonders vorteilhaft ist es, wenn der Schmelzbacken als ein durch Stromimpulse heizbares Band aus elektrischem Widerstandsmaterial ausgebildet ist, das beim Abtrennen mit einer Schmalseite mit Druck auf den wobei dieser Druck durch eine in Richtung des Schweißdruckes orientierte Federkraft erzeugt werden kann.
- In diesem Falle ist der Schmelzbacken verschiebbar an dem Schweißbackenträger befestigt.
- Es ist Jedoch im Rahmen der Erfindung auch möglich, den Schmelzbacken derart starr an dem Schweißbacken zu befestigen, daß et diesenin Richtung des Schweißdruckes etwa um Folienstärke überragt. In diesem Falle .wennJ ist es günstig, die Auflage für die zu verschweißenden und abzutrennenden Folien gummielastisch ausgebildet.
- ist (Silikongummi). Die Taktzeiten für das Verschweißen und Abtrennen der Folien lassen sich nach einer weiteren Ausbildung der Erfindung dadurch verringern, daß unterhalb des Schweißbackenträgers eine Wärmedämmplatte angeordnet ist, die in besonders kritischen Fällen eine Flüssigkeitskuhlung aufweisen kann.
- In der Zeichnung sinc Ausführungsbeispiele erfindungsgemäß ausgebildeter Vorrichtungen zum Verschweißen von Verbundfolien und Abtrennen der verschweißten Folienteile von dem übrigen Folienrest dargestellt.
- Es zeigen: Fig. 1 eine schematische Darstellung einer Gesamtanlage, Fig. 2 ein Ausfüiir'angsbeispiel eines kombinierten Schweiß-und Trennwerkzeuges im Schnitt, Fig. 3 eine weitere Ausführungsform eines kombinierten Schweiß- und Trennwerkzeuges im Schnitt, Fig. 4 einen aus zwei übereinanderliegenden Folienbahnen nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren hergestellten Handschuh.
- Die Anlage zum Verschweißen von übereinanderliegenden Verbundfolien entsprechend der Darstellung in Figur 1 weist eine kombinierte Schweiß- und Abtrennvorrichtung 1 auf, der eine ortsfeste Unterlage 2 zugeordnet iste Zwischen der Vorrichtung 1 und der Unterlage 2 verläuft ein Förder band 3, auf dem die von Vorratsrollen 4, 5 abgezogenen Verbundfolien 6, 7 unter dem Werkzeug 1 hindurchgefühft werden, das entsprechend dem Arbeitstakt Schweißen/Abtrennen und Naterialvorschub wechselweise angehoben und abgesenlct wird. Die Schweißnähte der fertig bearbeiteten Folienteile 8 werden nach dem Werkzeug-1 durch eine Luftdüse 9 gekühlt und anschließend von dem Förderband 3 abgenommene Die Vorrichtung 1-weist nach dem Ausfüh.rungsbeispiel nach Fig. 2 einen Träger lo für die Schweißbacken 11 auf, , der.
- ständig auf Schweißtemperatur gehalten wird. Außerdem sind an dem Träger lo gegen die Wirkung von Federn 12 höhen verschiebbare Tragelemente 13 für Schmelzbacken 14 ange ordnet, die aus bandförmigem Widerstandsmter'ial bestehen und so angeordnet sind, daß sie die Arbeitsflächen 15 der Schweißbacken 11 überragen. Während die Schweißbacken 11 über den Träger 1o durch Wärmeleitung auf eine Schweißtemperatur von etwa 12o Grad aufgehitzt werden, erfolgt die Aufheizung der Schmelz backen c@ 14 auf die Schmelztemperatur auf etwa 22o Gred durch kurze Stromimpulse während des Abtrennvorganges. Der aus Messing bestehende Schweißbacken 11 ist mit einer Teflonschicht 16 versehen, die einerseits das Festkleben der zu verschweißenden Folie an dem Schweißbecken verhindert und außerdem gegenüber der Schmelzbacke eine elektrische Isolation darstellt.
- Bei dem Ausfübrangsbeispiel der Vorrichtung 1 nach Fig ist der Schmelzbacken 14 mittels isolierter Schrauben 17 starr an dem Schweißbacken 11 derart befestigt, daß er diesen in Schweißrichtung überragt. Die Auflage 2 weist in diesem Falle eine gummielastischicht, beispielsweise aus Silikongummi auf. Zur Verhinderung von ungewollten thermischen Einflüssen durch Wärmeabstrahlung von tie Tr£ger 10 auf die ZU bearbeitenden Folien ist unterhalb des Trägers 10 eine Wärmedämmplatte 18 angeordnet, die Leitungen 19 zur Flüssigkeitskühlung aufweist.
- Beim Absenken der Vorrichtung 1 gegen die Auflage 2 werden in einem Arbeitsgang entsprechend der Darstellung in Fig. 4 die aufeinanderliegenden Poligen bahnen 6, 7 durch eine der Form eines Handschuhes 20 entsprechenden Schweißnaht 21 durch Aufpressen des Schweißbackens 11 miteinander verbunden und der Eandç schuh 20 gleichzeitig durch eine von dem Schmelz backen 14 erzeuge linienförmige Scbinelzzone 22 von den Folienbahnen 6, 7 getrennt.
Claims (9)
- PatentansprücheVerfahren zum Verschweißen von übereinanderliegenden Kunststoffverbundfolien, die eine Schicht aus thermoplastischem Material, z.B. Polyäthylen und eine weitere Schicht aus nicht thermoplastischem Material mit höherem Schmelzpunkt, z.B. Polyamid, aufweisen, sowie zum Abtrennen der miteinander verschweißten Folienteile von den nicht verschweißten Folienteilen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Folien (6, 7) im Bereich der Schweißnaht (21) unter Druck auf Schweißtemperatur erhitzt und entlang der Schweißnaht (21) gleichzeitig eine schmales insbesondere linienförmige Zone auf die Schmelztemperatur der nicht thermoplastischen Folienschicht erhitzt wird.
- 2. Verfahren zack Anbruch X, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Erhitzung auf Schmelztemperatur ebenfalls unter Druck erfolgt.
- 3. vorrichtung zum Ausüben des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1 mit einem entsprechend der Linienführung der Schweißnaht geformten kontinuierlich beheizten Schweißbacken, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t, daß entlang dem Schweißbacken (11) ein auf Schmelztemperatur erhitzbarer Schmelzbacken (14) angeordnet ist, der gegenüber dem Schweißbacken (11) thermisch und/oder ] elektrisch isoliert ist.
- 4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schmelzbacken (14) als ein durch Stromimpulse heizbares Band aus elektrischem Widerstandsmaterial ausgebildet ist.
- 5. Vorrichtung nach.Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schmelzbacken (14) in Richtung des Schweißdruckes gegen Federkraft verschiebbar an dem Schweißbackenträger (lo) gehaltert ist.
- 6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schmelzbacken (14) derart starr an dem Schweißbacken (11) befestigt ist, daß er diesen in Richtung des Schweißdruckes überragt.
- 7. Vorrichtung nach den Ansprüchen 3 und 6, gekennzeichnet durch eine gummielastische Auflage (2) Sür die zu verschweißenden Folien (6, 7).
- 8. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3 dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß unterhalb des Schweißbackenträgers (lo) eine Warmedämmplatte (18) angeordnet ist.
- 9. Vorrichtung nach den Ansprüchen 3 und 89 dadurch gekenn zeichnet, daß die Wärmedänimplatte (18) eine Flüssigkeits kühlung (19) aufweist.
