Der Apparat besteht aus einem gufseisernen cylindrischen Gehäuse a, welches, ähnlich wie ein Dampfcylinder, an beiden Enden offen ist, ausgebohrt wird und durch zwei Deckel geschlossen wird.The apparatus consists of a cast-iron cylindrical housing a, which, like a steam cylinder, is open at both ends, drilled out and closed by two covers.

Die Praxis hat aber gezeigt, dafs das Gehäuse und die Trommel schon in ausgezeichneter Weise gereinigt werden, wenn man nach dem Kartoffelausblasen etwas Wasser in den Henze'schen Apparat läfst und dieses mit Dampf durch den Apparat drückt; dafs daher ein Oeffnen des Gehäuses ganz unnöthig ist und man die den Apparat unnütz vertheuernde Einrichtung des Deckels fallen lassen kann, ohne die Zuverlässigkeit des Apparates zu beeinträchtigen. Um das Gehäuse ausbohren und die Trommel bequem anbringen zu können, mufste nun das Gehäuse mit zwei Deckeln versehen werden.The housing η is in the manner described in patent specification no.
