The present invention is based on the object of providing bar soaps with a pearlescent effect in an aesthetic manner to create a particularly appealing shape.
It is already known. Bar soaps with a pearlescent effect from transparent soaps, in the pearlescent pigments have been incorporated. It is essential that the flaky pigment particles have one Orientation in the transparent soap have that respectively entire swarms of particles reflect the incident light at the same angle. as Transparent soaps were z. B. so-called glycerine soaps used, but only allow discontinuous work. Compared to this, it offers significant advantages the use of extrudable transparent soaps. For example, such transparent soaps are: a high fatty acid content, which is characterized by the fact that the finished product I to 10% of a polyvalent Alcohol, 1 to 5% of a free fatty acid, 15 to 30% water and 0.1 to 1.5% salt from the German Auslegeschrift 11 67 472 known.
The use of polyhydric alcohols, especially dihydric alcohols, for the production of transparent soaps has been around for a long time, e.g. B. from soaps, oils, fats, waxes (1952), p. 516, are known. It it has been shown here that a soap dried in the usual way to a fatty acid content of about 80% by intimately admixing a dihydric alcohol in an amount that a fatty acid content of 70 to 73% in the mixture results in a very good production \ on bar soaps with a pearlescent effect results in usable transparent soap.
In the German Auslegeschrift 11 99 913 z. B. describes a process for the production of bar soaps with a pearlescent effect in which pearlescent pigments are embedded in soda soap with a fatty acid content of about 70% by adding a pearlescent pigment to a more than 8O 0 C warm soda soap with a fatty acid content of about 60 to 64% and then the mixture is quenched rapidly while concentrating to a fatty acid content of about 70% by removing water to about room temperature, or by adding the pearlescent pigment to a soda soap made by quenching a transparent form with about 70% fatty acid content and then shaping the product with the help of extrusion presses.
In the method according to the invention, one of the known transparent soaps containing about 70 to 73% fatty acid can be used as the starting material! be used. Transparent soaps of the type described in DT-AS 1199 913 and a transparent soap containing 70 to 73% fatty acids produced by admixing dihydric alcohols are preferred. 1,2-propylene glycol and 1,3-butyl glycol have proven to be particularly suitable as divalent alcohols. With the use of these glycols is obtained a Besse r e transparency when added equal to large amounts of glycerine.
B. nach der DT-AS 1199913 erhaltenen perlglanzpigmenthaltigen 70 bis 73%igen Seifen werden dann inAt the same time, the dihydric alcohol is added to the soap chips or noodles in one Mixing machine, a pearlescent pigment is added to these in amounts of 0.2 to about 1.0% (solid substance). Natural "fish silver" in aqueous suspension or equivalent are used as pearlescent pigments Suspensions physiologically harmless, crystallizing in the form of fine leaves or needles, with soap compatible substances into consideration. Such other pearlescent pigments are for example Wisniutoxychiorid, Mica flakes with a titanium dioxide or bismuth oxychloride coating as well as mixtures this and other pearlescent pigments. In addition, the soaps can of course be used in the usual way Way dyes (preferably soluble dyes), perfume, etc. can be added. The so or z. B. according to DT-AS 1199913 obtained pearlescent pigments 70 to 73% soaps are then used in
Especially when using soap bases that are mixed with two or more valued Alcohols obtained their transparency, it has been shown that the pearlescent luster of the mouth disc emerging soap strand on the surface of which appears strongly weakened or washed out. Will a section from such a strand /. to manufacture When the bar of soap is pressed, the pearlescent pattern is almost completely lost in this case.
It has now been found that this undesirable phenomenon can safely be avoided by that from the outer surface of the soap strand, the outer layers in a thickness of about 1 to 2 mm continuously be peeled off. According to the invention, this peeling off can be carried out with the following with reference to The devices described in the schematic illustrations can be carried out easily:
In A b b. 1 shows a device in which in a small distance in front of the orifice plate 1 of the Extrusion press an annular conical knife 2 is arranged, the annular cutting edge 3 a z. B. 2 mm smaller in diameter than the circular soap strand 4. In the outer part of the conical knife 2 several (z. B. 3 and 4) small cutting edges 5 are arranged radially, which also carry the knife 2 at the same time and can be attached to the mouth disc 1. The cutting edges 5 serve to hold the peeled off »rope stocking« to be cut in the longitudinal direction, whereby these run smoothly in the form of strips 6 can. This process of the peeled strips 6 can be promoted by the process, such. B. a Compressed air flow, can be controlled even more easily and safely.
To produce a drawing cut, the conical knife 2 can also perform an axial rotary movement are issued, this knife then rotates about its axis coinciding with that of the soap strand 4. In this case, the cutting edges 5 are not attached to the conical knife and take part in the rotary movement not part. You can e.g. B. only on the orifice plate 1 of the extruder or also z. B. at attached to an auxiliary ring concentrically surrounding the conical knife 2. In this embodiment it is not necessary that the conical knife 2 rotates about its axis in one direction, rather it can also be given a back and forth rotary motion with a low amplitude, whereby a quick change in the direction of rotation is preferred.
A b b. 2 shows another device for peeling off the soap strand, which is structurally significant is simpler than the device shown in Fig. 1, unfortunately it is not quite as effective. The conical knife 7 is in the direction of flow of the soap strand placed in the opposite direction in the extruder head on the orifice plate 1. Here is also omitted the need to remove the peeled strips from the strand of tape.
A b b. Finally, FIG. 3 shows a preferred embodiment for peeling off the soap strand according to the invention the orifice plate 1 of an extruder. With the help of z. B. pin-shaped support elements a thin Siahl wire 9 is stretched over the hole in the mouth disc so that it contains several overlapping, forms secants lying close to the outer periphery of the hole. In A b b. 3 are for explanation 12 such support elements 8 shown with a corresponding connection through the steel wire 9, however Of course, other numbers of carrier elements or wire edges connecting them can also be used be considered.
The orifice of the extruder is generally circular and the soap strand has a corresponding shape mostly a cylindrical outer surface. In particular with the devices according to A b b. 2 and 3 can but also a mouth disc with, for example, oval or elliptical etc. cross-section use find, because the then formed soap strand with a non-circular cross-section in a perfect manner can also be peeled off according to the invention.
Ersetzt man z. Beispielsweise können die Schlitze zur Erfüllung dieser Forderung, wie in den Abb.4bFrom the soap strand obtained in this way with pearlescent Bar soaps with a pearlescent effect can then be produced in the usual way. Included the bars of soap have a uniform, pearlescent appearance. However, the pearlescent effect is preferred to arrange in patterns, which is achieved according to the invention in that one in the tapered The head of the extruder uses perforated disks, which determine the flow of the soap and thus affect the orientation of the pearlescent pigment particles. In the German Auslegeschrift 1199 913 is it has already been described that by installing special "harassment", such as z. B. of wire screens or perforated sheets in the extrusion press delivering the strand, the appearance of the pearlescent effect can influence within wide limits. In Example 2 of this prior publication it is described that one when placing the perforated screen of the extrusion press, the holes with evenly spaced 15 mm holes Diameter is provided, with a screen mesh made of stainless steel with a wire thickness of 1.5 mm at a clear mesh size of 3 mm is given a pronounced pearlescent effect, in which at small intervals alternate lighter and darker stripes. It has now been found, however, that these were previously known "Bullying" can only bring about an insufficient change in appearance and that can be achieved through special designs of the perforated disc achieve the most varied of patterns in the soap strand permit. If you replace z. B. the perforated disc, which is generally provided with evenly distributed circular holes, which is inserted between the cylindrical part of the extruder and its conical head, by one provided with slots arranged in parallel and ending on both sides at the carrier edge 10 of the disc Disc (cf. A b b. 4a), a soap strand with a strip-shaped pearlescent effect is obtained. When producing the bars of soap, however, care must be taken to ensure that the strand section to be pressed is placed in the press in such a way that the direction of pressing corresponds exactly to the direction of the stripe pattern, d. This means that the pressing pressure acts on the side of the strand section which appears to be striped. this required for a strand of circular or polychrome Cross-section special attention. One can remedy this problem by the fact that one with the peeling device according to A b b. provides fewer secants, making adjustment easier then z. B. square soap in the press is made possible. However, the invention is more advantageous a slotted disc is used, the slots of which with their outwardly directed ends Touch the carrier edge 10 and the periphery of the usable surface of the disc at as evenly spaced as possible subdivide. For example, the slots to meet this requirement, as shown in Fig.4b
This ensures that even when pressing a circular strand, there is always a uniform striped pattern appeared on the shiny bar of soap
Die wesentlichen Merkmale des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens sind also, daß eine an sich bekannte Transparentseife mit etwa 70 bis 73% Fcttsiiurcgchali, der ein Perlglanzpigment sowie gegebenenfalls Farbstoffe, Parfüm usw. beigemischt sind, stranggepreßt und anschließend in üblicher Weise zur Stückseife verprcßiThe essential features of the method according to the invention are therefore that a transparent soap known per se with about 70 to 73% Fcttsiiurcgchali, which a pearlescent pigment and optionally dyes, Perfume, etc. are admixed, extruded and then Compressed in the usual way to bar soap
In particular, this peeling has proven to be advantageous for the ("all that the soap strand by installing Schliizplatten in the tapered part of the head of the extruder with a strip-like appearance of the pearl prince has been.
