The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such thermally insulated barrier.
The invention particularly relates to gates with double walls, between which foamed, cellular thermal insulation material is arranged. To prevent, that the foam insulation during the foaming process from the Space between the two walls escapes, it is common for the joints between these walls to do so to make impermeable as possible, either by the provision of mechanical locking means, for example fe in the manner of a tongue and groove connection, or by closing the connection points with seals extremely dense, closed-cell foam or synthetic resin material, which is used before the main foam process is applied. The invention aims to achieve the object of simplifying the manufacture of thermally insulated cabinets and thereby reduce manufacturing costs.
In terms of solving this problem, the invention is based on a thermally insulated cabinet with one on one Side open outer jacket and an inner lining, which are inserted into the outer jacket at a distance is that between them a space to be filled or filled with foamed thermal insulation material is formed is, wherein the inner lining and the outer jacket along edge parts on the open side of the outer jacket with each other are connected, and a seal is arranged in the area of these edge parts, which the connection

With this simple, very effective sealing arrangement there is no need to make special ventilation holes.
Although the seal prevents the foam from escaping, it allows the air located within the space between the outer jacket and the inner lining to escape during the foaming process. The foaming process according to the invention is preferably carried out so that foaming proceeds in the direction of the permeable seal. It is also advantageous to pass the foaming in the upward direction by the cabinet is laid so, ψ that the side on which the foam is introduced, and the page is below the transmissive sealing above.

In particular, the rear wall 22 of the rear panel 20 is longitudinal provided their sides with a right-angled part 52, which extends over the entire length and width of the part 58 that forms the bay part of the spar 28 forms. According to FIG. 2, the right-angled part presses against the foam seal 48. The thickness of the foam seal in the fully assembled state is off For reasons of illustration, exaggerated. The permeable spar seal 50 has a square cross-section before it is compressed by the inner lining 2.6 when its edge parts 54, 56 are inserted into the open U formed by the flange 29. After the parts 54 and 56 have been inserted into the spar 29, however, the foam seal 50 is compressed so far that its cross-sectional shape corresponds to the cross-sectional shape of the space in which it is enclosed. The foam gasket 50 compresses less * than the gasket 48 in order that it remains sufficiently permeable and allows air to escape.

Then the outer shell is brought into its final shape. Then the inner lining 2.6 is inserted into the U-shaped spar 29 and the rear plate 20 is inserted into the U-shaped spar 28. The closed-cell seal 48 is compressed in the spar 28 so that it creates an airtight connection in this area. The seal 50 is compressed less so that it remains permeable to air. After assembly, the assembly is laid down with the rear panel 20 facing down. Thereafter, foam insulation 58 is applied via nozzles 62, which pass through openings in the

The foam 58 moves in the space between the inner lining 2β and the outer shell l8 upwards and presses the air located in this space through the foam seal 50 out through. Because of upward foaming, the open cell seal 50 is never exposed to the high foaming pressure, and no foam is pressed through the seal 50, so that very little, if any, cleaning is required after the foaming process.
