Abstract

The drophead body car has a rollover protection frame angled forwards to enclose a small side window, on each side, between the front edge of the frame and the door. The frame is linked to the windscreen frame by side struts running along the top of the door windows. The whole design enables relatively thin profile frames to be used without reducing the protection. The small side windows can be opened on swivel mountings for extra ventilation.
