Diese allseitigen Auflagerandabschnitte erfordern jedoch einen größeren Arbeitsaufwand, da nacheinander al!e Randabschnitte aufgefaltet werden müssen. Auch ist die Rastverbindung der bekannter Steige nur unzulänglich gegen unbeabsichtigtes Lösen gesichert. Wenn bei dieser Steige nämlich die Zunge bei einer senkrechten Belastung des Auflagerandabschnittes um einen geringen Betrag nach unten ausweicht, löst sich ίο die ineinandergekeilte Verbindung der Zunge und der entsprechenden trapezförmigen Rastöffnung, so daß die Zunge — vor allem unter der Druckwirkung des Steigeninhalts — nach außen bewegt werden kann, so daß sich die Steige beim Herausnehmen aus dem Stapel auffaltet.
