Claims (7)

1. Anordnung eines Sicherheitsmoduls in einer Frankiermaschine mit einer durch einen Deckel verschließbaren Kavität im Nichtsicherheits­ bereich des Frankiermaschinengehäuses, wobei ein Sicherheitmodul in die Kavität einsteckbar und mit der Steuerung der Frankiermaschine verbindbar ist, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass eine schachtförmige Kavität im Nichtsicherheitsbereich (5) des Frankier­ maschinengehäuses und ein Adapter (1) für das Sicherheitsmodul (13) vorgesehen sind, dass der Adapter (1) das Sicherheitsmodul (13) voll­ ständig aufnimmt und Formteile für eine untrennbare Verbindung mit der Frankiermaschine aufweist und dass der Adapter in Steckrichtung jeweils einen Steckverbinder sowohl zur Verbindung mit dem Sicherheitsmodul als auch zur Verbindung mit einer Leiterplatte zur Steuerung der Frankier­ maschine aufweist, über welche das Sicherheitsmodul (13) des gesteckten Adapters (1) mit der Frankiermaschinensteuerung in operativer Verbindung steht, dass die schachtförmige Kavität eine Tiefe aufweist, in welche der Adapter (1) während seiner Montage in die Frankiermaschine orthogonal zur Steckrichtung bewegbar ist, dass die schachtförmige Kavität eine der Breite des Adapters und eine zur Bewegung des Adapters (1) in Steckrichtung entsprechende Breite aufweist.1.
