Description
Technisches Gebiettechnical field
The present invention relates to an undersole for feet as an active arrangement in the layer structure of a shoe bottom, which as a replaceable, dimensionally stable undersole comprises an undersole underside and an undersole upper side, the contact surface of the undersole underside being arranged above the insole and the contact surface of the undersole upper side pointing in the direction of the sole of the foot.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
In order to be able to describe the subject of the invention as a special and/or additional medical shoe insert in the form of an undersole, it is necessary to start from the known terminology for shoes.
So when a shoe is mentioned in the following description, the characteristic basic model of a shoe is meant. A normal made-to-measure or ready-to-wear shoe consists of two main parts, the upper part being called the upper and the lower part being called the bottom. The shaft is mainly made up of several layers and individual parts that are glued and/or sewn together. These layers, e.g. inner upper (lining), intermediate upper (intermediate lining) and outer upper (upper leather) and the trimmings of the outer upper are not considered in detail here. Such a shoe, composed of the parts shoe base and shaft, is designed for normal feet that do not show any malposition and is therefore not suitable for supporting the walking process with a hallux valgus, the misalignment of the big toe.
Insoles that have the desired properties are also available in different materials, depending on the needs of the customer and taking into account the seasons. Insoles used in summer are usually made of cork or rubber with a thin textile layer. Leather and terry cloth are also used. They are usually punched and, depending on the material, sewn at the edges to prevent fraying. Traditionally, insoles have been used in winter for better thermal insulation. Classic, warming insert materials such as lambskin and felt are used for thermal insulation, with newer materials made of faux fur or other synthetic materials. In the meantime, there are also heated soles on the market. Insoles can also be equipped with additional antibacterial agents, so that the decomposition of sweat by bacteria, which causes the smell of foot sweat, is prevented. None of the aforementioned insoles meet the requirements for positively influencing the walking process in the case of a hallux.
There are also orthopedic insoles. Orthopedic insoles are usually. no bulk items. Such insoles are manufactured individually by an orthopedic shoemaker according to the medical indication by an orthopedic specialist and are individually adapted to the individual foot of the patient.
Such orthopedic insoles, known from the prior art, are used to correct foot malpositions, for example by supporting the arch of the foot. For this purpose, an insole base body is provided with a profile structure made of foam, which is made according to the footprint of the person for whom the insole is made. Because an impression of the foot is required, the known insole is very expensive and is only intended for use by a single person.
Three-dimensionally shaped insoles that are commercially available are also known from the prior art. As a rule, these products have similar features, such as a bulky pad to support the transverse arch, arch support for the medial edge of the sole of the foot and a recess for the heel ball, often with additional pressure-absorbing pads or inlays under the heel bone. However, there is no proof of the positive health effects of these uniform mass products on the individual feet of the wearer and this has not yet been done. Even these three-dimensional insoles do not meet the requirements for positively influencing the walking process in the case of an existing hallux valgus.
For the sake of completeness, it should also be pointed out that the mechanical or manual production of the shoe bottom is not the subject of the present consideration.
Aufgabetask
The present application is therefore based on the object of avoiding the existing disadvantages of the aforementioned prior art, improving it compared to this and expanding the comfort range of mass-produced shoes by using the shoe bottom with an additional layer structure, thereby supporting the walking process improved in the case of disturbed biomechanics of the foot. Furthermore, the high production costs of orthopedic insoles produced individually to support hallux valgus, hallux rigidus and hallux varus are to be greatly reduced.
The solution to the problem is to create an undersole of the type mentioned at the outset that can be produced particularly easily and inexpensively in industrial production and that can be subsequently integrated into the bottom of the shoe. The invention is also based on the object of constructing an undersole in such a way that the undersole enables relief of the joints of an insole wearer in the toe and ball area, advantageously in the inner foot area, and can be worn by people with different foot shapes.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved by means of an undersole with the features of
Beschreibungdescription
The inventive undersole is an additional sole that can be integrated into the bottom of the shoe and is used for the non-surgical treatment of bones and joints. This undersole could also be referred to as a midsole, midsole or orthopedic insole. However, with regard to the terminology, the term "undersole" is used throughout the description. The designation of the midsole is therefore out of the question because the midsole is located between the insole (inner sole) and the outsole, while the undersole is arranged above the insole (inner sole). Furthermore, the midsole consists mainly of a PU cushioning layer.
That is, the aim of the invention is to increase the quality and properties of existing footwear. The extension is made possible by the additional inventive undersole in the shoe bottom construction. The additional undersole gives the footwear orthopedic properties. The additional orthopedic property consists in the stabilization of the shoe bottom structure, the inventive undersole being designed in such a way that the big toe joint is positively influenced. By using the inventive undersole in the bottom of the shoe, especially in fashionable shoes, the utility property is increased and the quality of the shoe design as a whole is improved.
This undersole, which can be integrated in the layer structure of a shoe bottom, thus forms an effective arrangement in that the inventive undersole has a positive influence on the feet and thus on hallux valgus, hallux rigidus and hallux varus. In order to develop the subject matter of the invention, it was necessary to identify the damage and deformation of the feet, which are known as hallux, and to examine the causes more closely. For around 10 million people affected in Germany alone, hallux means pain in the area of the metatarsophalangeal joint. Medicine distinguishes between three different types of hallux disorders. The hallux valgus as a misalignment of the big toe in the direction of the other toes. Hallux rigidus is a stiffening of the big toe due to arthrosis and inflammation in the metatarsophalangeal joint and hallux varus is a misalignment of the big toe in the direction of the other foot or in the opposite direction of the toes. The three different types of hallux are explained in more detail below in order to better understand the inventive solution of the tasks.
The first type concerns hallux valgus. Hallux valgus is the medical term for the pathological crooked position of the big toe, which moves further and further in the direction of the small toes and ensures that the ball of the foot on the inner edge of the foot increasingly bulges out. The technical term hallux valgus thus describes the outward misalignment of the big toe in the metatarsophalangeal joint. The tendons to the toes no longer run centrally across the joint, but run further inward, pulling the toes into an oblique position. Painful inflammation often develops on the ball of the big toe that protrudes as a result, caused by the pressure of the shoe upper. The medical causes of a hallux valgus that cause a deformity are well known. A malposition can worsen over time and cause painful arthrosis in the large joint in the long term, which can ultimately lead to chronic pain when stepping and/or rolling the foot and thus restricting the mobility of the foot. It is therefore advisable to react to the first signs in good time and to protect and relieve the big toe joint at an early stage with an innovative undersole.
The second type of damage is called hallux rigidus. Hallux rigidus is the wear and tear of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. Arthrosis in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe occurs as a result of increasing wear and tear. The destruction of the articular cartilage leads to swelling, redness, inflammation and, in the long term, painful joint stiffness. The rolling movement of the foot is made more difficult and there is often a painful loss of movement. Stinging pain when walking impedes the normal rolling movement of the foot. The consequences are incorrect loads that can cause damage to the hip and/or knee joints. The hallux rigidus disease is therefore a consequence of cartilage wear, which increasingly occurs in older people. The causes of cartilage wear can be of various kinds. In order to slow down the progression of arthrosis in the big toe joint and to maintain pain-free mobility for as long as possible, the foot must be relieved when rolling, which is made possible by the innovative undersole.
The third type is called hallux varus. Hallux varus also causes the big toe to be misaligned. Here the big toe does not shift in the direction of the little toes, but it shifts away from them in the direction of the other foot, resulting in splayed toes. This deformation of the big toe joint is much less common. Splay toes can result from an injury or after an operation on the hallux valgus, or they can be hereditary. Here, too, prevention by using the inventive undersole can significantly slow down the progression of splayed toes and avoid or reduce pressure pain. However, if the malposition is pronounced, it can lead to pressure pain and/or movement-related pain in the big toe. The misalignments and the resulting impairments can then only be corrected surgically.
If the technical term hallux is used in the following description, all three medical types of hallux are always meant.
The advantageous property of the inventive undersole makes it possible to influence the rolling movement of the foot and to counteract a crooked position of the toes. However, in order to determine the required properties of the sole, it is necessary to identify the causes of the misalignment of the toes.
The shoes, which are mainly sold in retail and worn by people, have a basic insole shape that does not correspond to the outline of the natural sole of the foot (i.e. not the Meyer line according to Prof. Hermann von Meyer). Meyer's line is a straight line connecting the center of the heel and the ball of the big toe, measured at the footprint. This line defines the boundary of the inner last edge and thus part of the course of the outline of the insole. If the bottom of the shoe does not correspond to Meyer's line, the toes are pushed out of their original position, which in the long run leads to permanent deformation and damage to the toes. In the advanced stage, the damage first becomes noticeable through the misalignment of the big toe (hallux). This misalignment progresses, gradually affects the other marginal toes and can lead to a longitudinal axis of the big toe that points outwards almost at right angles and crosses the neighboring toes.
The cause of such a misalignment of the big toe can be caused by a shoe heel that is too high. A higher heel (more than three to four centimeters) causes increased pressure in the forefoot area. On the one hand, this promotes splayfoot formation and, on the other hand, the toes are pressed into the toe of the shoe. The sinking of the front transverse arch in the case of splayfoot causes the ball area to widen and the toes to be crooked.
Shoe tips that are too tight also often contribute to this because they do not give the toes the necessary freedom (especially to the side, but also upwards). This forces them into a misalignment that, over time, leads to a permanent misalignment in the ankles. This primarily affects women who wear triangularly shaped women's shoes, where the toes try to fit into the precisely tapered toe caps, which encourages the toes to develop incorrectly.
If the shoes are too short, the toes are also pushed out of their natural position, which not only promotes hallux but also leads to hammer and claw toes.
If one knows the causes that lead to a hallux, the prevention strategy would be clear, e.g. avoiding wearing high-heeled shoes, too narrow toes and too short toe caps. The feet comprise a quarter of all bones in the human body and are therefore extremely adaptable. If a variety of shoes were worn, there would usually be no damage. Only the regular or predominant wearing of shoes that do not fit properly leads to the problems mentioned. The switch to flat shoes with enough room for the toes, especially wearing thong sandals, is considered by only a few people. In the populations that wear fashionable western-style footwear, on the other hand, it is common for the toes to lie close together. Thus, the natural and beam-straight position has changed into a position that is only toe-straight with the aforementioned foot damage. The natural and healthy normal foot, on the other hand, has the toes spread apart. This means that wearing the wrong shoes can clearly be the main cause of a misalignment of the toes, especially of the hallux, unless the misalignment is genetic.
In order to counteract such a misalignment of the big toe, caused e.g. by the shape of the insole outline in fashionable shoes, and to prevent it from progressing, the use of the inventive undersole is recommended.
The invention therefore relates to a dimensionally stable undersole that can advantageously be inserted into almost all shoes as an additional undersole. Advantageously, the undersole has an undersole underside whose contact surface comes to rest directly on the upper side of the insole or insole or on a cover sole or other sole arranged above the insole. The contact surface of The upper side of the undersole points in the direction of the sole of the foot, whereby the sole of the foot can rest directly on the upper side of the undersole. In another variant, there is an insole on the upper side of the undersole, as is known from the prior art. The sole of the foot then has no direct contact with the sole of the foot.
Advantageously, the contact surfaces of the flat undersole are spaced apart in a plane-parallel manner. The insole therefore has no bumps on the front and back. Due to the plane parallelism and the small thickness of the undersole, the undersole nestles relatively close to the bottom of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe includes all layers underneath the foot. The bottom of the shoe can either only comprise an insole or have an insole with at least one insole, with the inventive undersole being arranged between the insole and the insole. The thickness of the undersole is advantageously in a range from 1mm to 3mm. Also advantageous is the possibility of a particularly good adaptability of the undersole to different shoe shapes, in particular to the normal foot shape or shoe size and the external shape of the other insoles. Advantageously, the outer shape of the insole can be adapted to the different foot shapes or to any other shape with small aids.
In order to prevent and avoid the progression of joint malalignment and hallux or other toe malalignment, as described above, it is necessary to achieve stabilization of the bottom of the shoe, which includes preventing the subsidence of the transverse arch. This is advantageously brought about by the inventive undersole. The undersole is designed in such a way that the existing footbed of the shoe floor is not changed, but is stabilized. In the forefoot and ball of the foot area, such an undersole has at least two lateral, i.e. adjacent, sub-areas I, II, which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the undersole, and a sub-area III, which forms the heel area and is in front of the sub-areas I, II, in the longitudinal direction seen of the base body, is located, with the sub-regions I, II differ by different bending stiffness in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the undersole.
The design of the undersole according to the invention gives the user of a shoe bottom designed with such an undersole a certain rolling behavior in the big toe area (partial area II) by suppressing or weakening the rolling behavior of the big toe joint. The gait pattern is not negatively affected because the other toes (in section I) can still roll off.
It has also turned out to be advantageous that if the surfaces of the three sub-areas I, II, III in the base body of the insole have different sizes to one another, the positive effect on the reduced roll-off behavior at the big toe joint is greatest, which, among other things, also achieves the different bending stiffnesses .
In order to avoid damage to the undersole from different forces acting on it, it is necessary for the inner contact edges of the touching partial areas I, II, III to be firmly connected to one another during the manufacturing process. The inner contact edges of sections I, II, III must not produce any fracture lines when subjected to bending loads in the longitudinal and transverse directions. In order to avoid breaking lines along the fit of the partial areas I, II, III, these inner edges advantageously have an overlapping area. The overlap area consists of a relatively large sloping area located along the edge of the fit, e.g., portion II. The fit of partial area I and the fit of partial area III, which partially enclose the fit of partial area II, also have a relatively large inclined surface. These sloping surfaces of partial areas I, III correspond to the sloping surface of partial area II, resulting in a greater overlap at the edges. A normal edge runs perpendicularly between the two plane-parallel spaced contact surfaces of the undersole, the area of the edge being determined by the distance between the contact surfaces and is therefore relatively small. By replacing the vertical surface on the peripheral edges with an inclined surface, the size of the overlapping surfaces increases significantly, which means that the strength between sections I, II, III increases enormously. The edge surrounding the fit of the undersole on the outside remains vertical in the embodiment.
In a preferred embodiment of the undersole according to the invention, the two partial areas I, II are arranged in a forefoot area of the undersole. Provision is particularly preferably made for the outer area of the foot to have a lower flexural rigidity than the inner area of the foot. A shoe sole equipped with such an undersole reduces the natural rolling movement over the big toe. A reduced rolling movement reduces the progression of a hallux and reduces the inflammation in the joint and thus the pain.
Sub-area III is followed by the two sub-areas I and sub-area II, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the base body and together form the undersole. Advantageously, partial area I and partial area III are designed in one piece and connected to each other via a bridge, whereby the two partial areas I, III form the larger area of the base body of the insole than partial area II and extend from the heel area via the metatarsal area along the bridge the outer area of the foot, extending to the tip of the foot.
In other words, partial area II forms the smaller part of the base body of the insole in terms of area, which extends from the ball area over the forefoot area to the big toe area along the inner area of the foot. It has turned out to be advantageous that if the partial area II has a lower flexural rigidity compared to the partial areas I, III, which have a higher flexural rigidity, the rolling movement of the big toe joint can be reduced. In order to achieve the positive effect of the reduced rolling movement, it is necessary to equip sub-area I and sub-areas II, III with different degrees of hardness in the material. This means that the material of sub-area I and sub-area III has the same degree of hardness and, due to the lower degree of hardness compared to sub-area II, forms the softer component of the base body. The material of partial area II has a greater degree of hardness and thus forms the harder component of the base body. Furthermore, it has been found that the base body, characterized by the relatively soft, flexible partial areas I, III designed with a low degree of hardness, can cling to structured insoles, cover soles or insoles in the bottom of the shoe. This advantageously results in a particularly good adaptability of the undersole to different foot shapes. Pressure pain on the various metatarsophalangeal joints of the hallux is avoided and the result is greater comfort.
A plastic is preferably used as the material, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, which stands for the highest degree of reliability, constant product quality and economy. The thermoplastic polyurethane meets the different demands that are required by the inventive undersole. The material should be relatively flexible in sections I, III of the undersole and relatively hard in section II of the undersole in order to be able to meet the different properties required for the bending stiffness of the undersole. Advantageously, the material of subarea II can be glass fiber reinforced. The material also meets the requirements for manufacturing costs because the material can be used industrially and meets the highest requirements. A TPU is used as the material, for example, although the use of other plastics is also conceivable. In another embodiment of the insole, the base body can be formed from two different plastics, which also have different flexural strengths and different degrees of hardness, in order to meet the required properties of the inventive insole. In other words, the partial area II consists of a harder plastic and the two partial areas I, III which are connected to one another in one piece are made of a softer plastic.
An advanced hallux cannot be eliminated in this way. However, the use of such an undersole, which has orthopedic properties, in the bottom of the shoe means that there is no further damage and deformation of the big toe joint, because the pressure pain on the protruding metatarsophalangeal joint is greatly reduced by reduced rolling behavior.

The two elements, the softer and the harder element, are joined together in a tool mold during injection molding and divided into three different functional sub-areas I, II,
Furthermore, the
The
