Description

Medical conditions may require people to need a probe, mostly for artificial nutrition. A probe in the sense of the present invention comprises a probe access which enables access into the body, and usually also a probe tube which is coupled to the probe access and thus enables the addition of food or medication.

In everyday life and in the care of people with probes in the abdominal area ("probe patients"), especially in children ("probe children"), various problems arise. There is e.g. there is always the risk that the probe may be pulled out of the body unintentionally, which causes a variety of medical complications. The caution required as a result also severely limits the quality of life of the people concerned.

Common clothing or children's clothing usually does not take these problems into account. Often the clothing has to be moved strongly or even removed completely in order to access the probe. This is cumbersome and can include also lead to colds. In particular, if caregivers such as parents or nursing staff have to get to the probe of a probe child during sleep, there is a risk that the probe child will wake up and the quality and quantity of sleep will be severely disturbed. When children play or start crawling when they are young, there is a particularly high risk that the probe will be moved or even pulled out of the body.

There is therefore a need for clothing that takes into account the special needs of people wearing probes, especially probe children.

The present invention relates to a belt ( 1 ) made of textile material, characterized in that it has a hole opening ( 2 ) with a cover ( 3 ) is reversibly closed.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the cover ( 3 ) arched outwards.

The hole opening ( 2 ) is in the area of the body where the probe access is located. The probe tube, if present, is usually passed through the opening. There are different probe systems. A probe system is the so-called "PEG probe", which consists of a tube and a holding plate, and with which the tube always remains on the body. When feeding food, a syringe or a storage container is connected to the end of the hose, possibly with a pump. Outside the feeding time, the end of the tube is usually closed.

Another probe system is the "button probe", in which access to the inside of the body ends on the skin in a plug-like connection, which can be closed outside the feeding period and to which a tube can be connected for feeding. At the end of the hose, the food is supplied via a syringe or a storage container, possibly with a pump.

Another probe system is the "PEJ" probe.

The probe access is usually located in the abdominal area, usually in the middle or left. The exact position differs individually and is decided by the medical practitioner according to the circumstances, his usual practice or according to arbitrariness, so that the position of the probe is very different from probe patient to probe patient.

This probe belt is suitable for all common probe systems. It is also flexible when it comes to the position of the probe on the body: the belt can be moved accordingly to the right or left or up or down, so that the hole opening can be flexibly moved to the location of the probe access.

Probe bodies are known from the prior art, in which a transverse button strip in the front abdominal region enables access to the probe, e.g. from commercial suppliers or as free sewing instructions (e.g. https://buntspechte.net/produkt/sondenbody/). Probe bodies with a longitudinal button placket are also known.

Bodies or T-shirts are also known, in which a slit or hole opening is incorporated in the side area, which enables access to the probe. However, this hole opening is always in the same place and therefore not in the position of the probe for every patient, or the item of clothing must be made individually for the probe patient, depending on the position of the probe on the body.

With this variant, the patient then needs warmer or cooler clothing variants depending on the season, e.g. with short or long sleeves.

Die größenverstellbare Ausführung ermöglicht auch, dass der Sondengurt für eine Vielzahl an Patienten vorgefertigt werden kann, ohne dass eine individuelle Anpassung nötig ist.
• - Der Sondengurt ermöglicht nicht nur einen guten Zugang zur Sonde, sondern kann auch dazu dienen, den Schlauch am Körper sicher zu verstauen, z.B. im Fall einer PEG-Sonde außerhalb der Nahrungsgabezeiten.

• - The probe belt not only allows easy access to the probe, but can also be used to safely stow the tube on the body, e.g. in the case of a PEG probe outside of meal times.

As described above, the belt is usually made of textile material. The textile material can be woven, knitted or made in some other way. It can be natural or synthetic fibers. The material is preferably stretchable and elastic. The material is preferably breathable. For this reason, the textile material is preferably jersey or similar thin knitwear, preferably cotton jersey.

A belt in the sense of the present invention is a band-shaped textile part which can be closed at the ends to form a lap. Therefore, a belt normally has at least one break in the belt, i.e. an opening in the lap. This opening is called "closing opening" in the following. There is a locking mechanism at the locking opening. The belt according to the invention ( 1 ) therefore has at its closing opening one or more reversible connecting parts on which the belt can be closed and opened again.

The reversible connecting parts can be, for example: buckles (belt buckles or a series of belt buckles, buckles), Velcro, zipper or snap fasteners. The experienced seamstress or mother knows which connecting parts are best suited in her case. Pushbuttons are preferably used (pushbuttons ( 5 ) in the pictures). Snap fasteners are available for sewing or attaching with pliers. Snap fasteners, such as those from KamSnap, are particularly preferred. A simple and inexpensive variant are colorful plastic snap fasteners, such as those offered by KamSnap and other providers. The size is preferred T3 (Diameter approx. 10.7 mm). The size too T5 (Diameter approx. 12.4 mm) is suitable.

In one embodiment ( A3 ) of the invention, the belt is therefore a belt ( 1 ), which has one or more reversible connecting parts at its closing opening, at which the belt can be closed to round, the reversible connecting parts being selected from Velcro, buckle, zipper or snap fasteners, preferably snap fasteners ( 5 ).

In a particularly preferred embodiment ( A4 ) has the belt ( 1 ) two interruptions (closing openings 4a and 4b ), on which the belt parts are or can be connected by reversible connecting parts, so that the belt consists of a main belt part ( 1a ) and a belt flap ( 1b ) with hole opening ( 2 ) and cover ( 3 ) consists.

The advantage of this configuration is that the belt can be adapted even better to the circumstances of the individual patient, as far as the position of the hole opening and the general size of the belt are concerned. If the belt is dirty in the area of the hole where the probe is located, only the belt flap has to be washed and not the entire belt.

In one embodiment, the belt ( 1 ) a selection of several reversible connections so that the belt can be closed in different sizes, preferably two rows of push buttons at each end of the interruption.

Especially in the embodiment ( A4 ) there are then several options for combining the reversible connecting parts so that the size can be adjusted in certain steps.

The belt according to the invention is particularly suitable for probe children, but can also be useful for adult patients. The belt must go around the fuselage, i.e. the patient's abdomen can be placed, taking into account any overlap. The length of the belt can therefore be greater than the actual belt circumference. The belt circumference is therefore usually 30 to 110 cm, preferably 45 to 70 cm.

The belt width must be selected so that there is a certain amount of belt material next to the hole opening, which conveys the necessary stability of the belt. The belt width is therefore about 10 to 30 cm, or 10 to 20 cm, preferably 12 to 16 cm.

The belt size and width are larger in adult patients and smaller in children and infants.

The belt according to the invention is therefore a belt as described in the present text, in which the belt circumference 30 to 110 cm, preferably 45 to 70 cm, and / or the belt width 10 to 20 cm, preferably 12 to 16 cm.

The cover ( 3 ) and the hole opening ( 2 ) usually have the same or similar shape, for example square or circular. Other geometric shapes are also possible. It is preferably circular. The cover ( 3 ) is usually slightly larger than the hole opening ( 2 ) to allow an overlap and thus a reversible closing. The hole opening ( 2 ) should be large enough that the probe can be reached without problems, but small enough to impair the stability of the probe belt as a garment as little as possible. The cover ( 3 ) preferably has the following size: In the case of a circular cover 3 is the average 4 to 9 cm, preferably 6 to 8 cm. The closing (i.e. connecting the cover ( 3 ) with that part of the belt ( 1 ) directly around the hole opening ( 2 ) is done) with reversibly attached connecting parts, as described above for closing the belt ends to the round. Punctually attached connecting parts such as the snap fasteners have another advantage: The probe tube can be looped around the snap fasteners (e.g. alternately inside and outside the hole opening) and is thus safely stowed and worn on the body. This is an important advantage of the probe belt according to the invention, which is therefore particularly suitable for toddlers and children in the crawling age - the probe tube is less likely to get stuck, slips less easily and disturbs the child far less. The child can nevertheless crawl normally and develop normally. Parents have less to worry about. You also need to be less careful that the probe is accidentally slipped or pulled out. The same applies analogously to mentally handicapped people. The belt according to the invention also means a higher level of safety for bedtime.

The belt according to the invention is therefore a belt as described in the present text, the cover ( 3 ) with 3 to 6, preferably 4 or 5, preferably 4 reversible connecting parts, which preferably snap fasteners ( 5 ) is attached above the hole opening ( 2 ).

Optionally, one or more loops can be attached to the belt to allow the probe tube to be stowed safely. For example, a loop can be attached to the part of the belt that is then on the back of the probe patient. The probe tube is less annoying. It also prevents the probe patient from pulling on the hose, if only because it is less easy to grip the back.

The loop can either be firmly sewn on at two ends, or sewn on at one end and attached to the belt part at the other end with a reversible connecting part (e.g. push button).

The cover ( 3 ) is, as shown above as preferred, carried out in a curved shape. "Arched" shape is understood as a "slightly arched" shape, ie not a hemisphere, but also not flat. This has the advantage that the probe access and possibly hose have a little more space and are mechanically protected. So there is even more protection against unintentional pulling out and protection against pressure.

Technically, the curvature is caused, for example, by the somewhat larger textile cover ( 3 ) is gently gathered or folded at the edge. This can then be fixed with a binding tape, or for example by sewing or gluing. It should be noted that the cover ( 3 ) should be a little bigger when cutting, because when gathering or folding the diameter becomes a little smaller when seen from above. The solution of fixing the gathering or folding with a binding tape has the further advantage that the binding tape makes the edge mechanically more stable. This allows the reversible connecting parts (especially the push buttons ( 5 )) there be attached particularly well without tearing them out easily.

An alternative technical solution could be a prefabricated domed soft cap as a cover ( 3 ) to use, as they are made, for example, in a larger version as a bra cup.

As described above, the belt is made of textile material, preferably jersey or similar knitwear. The material of the belt, especially the material lying on the skin, should be soft and breathable. It is also advantageous if the material is stretchable and elastic, since the belt then remains better in the desired location and the size can regulate itself to a certain extent. Cotton jersey or viscose jersey is therefore considered to be particularly suitable, in particular cotton jersey. These fabrics are available in many bright colors and with children's motifs.

The belt according to the invention is therefore a belt as described in the present text, the belt consisting of cotton jersey or viscose jersey.

For better stability, the jersey can be taken twice, i.e. The front and back of the belt fall, so that the right side of the fabric is facing outwards. The person skilled in sewing also knows that some places (e.g. the places where snap fasteners or other reversible fasteners are attached) should be reinforced, which is usually done by fleece, preferably iron-on fleece, which the trade offers with different thicknesses and properties.

Jersey tends to fray or curl around the edges when not overcast. Therefore, the parts of a probe belt according to the invention are usually cleaned, e.g. by falling and stitching, or by heming them, or even better, by fitting them with binding tapes. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the parts are double, in each case with the right-hand side facing outward, and are edged with binding tapes and thus also held together. This also gives the parts additional stability in the edge area, so that reversible connecting parts, e.g. Snap buttons can be attached.

Binding tapes are strips of fabric, here preferably made of jersey, often cut in the diagonal thread because of the better stretchability and flexibility. The fabric strips consist of two seam allowances and two border widths that are placed around the fabric edge, see 9 ,

The probe belts according to the invention can be manufactured according to the usual specialist knowledge of the sewing craft: cutting the fabric with scissors or rotary cutters, sewing using conventional methods, preferably using a household sewing machine and / or an overlock sewing machine. It may be easier to make corners easier by rounding off, so that e.g. a binding tape can be placed around the curve more easily and the garment is also more comfortable to wear than a thicker corner with overlapping pieces of binding tape. When cutting, you usually use a template, the so-called "pattern", which specifies the outline to be cut out for each part, as well as information about holes or the closures to be attached.

Example 1:

The rectangular pattern A with a length of 58 cm and a width of 13 cm is cut twice from cotton jersey. The corners are rounded. A circular hole with a diameter of 5 cm is created by falling (in the middle of the two long edges and 7 cm away from one of the short edges), so that both right sides are on the outside. The circular edge is stitched. The edges are edged with jersey bias tape all around and thus overcast and stitched.
