Description

- a. Funnel-shaped or parabolic reflectors are known. You have the disadvantage that the light is directed in one direction only. When used in a ceiling spotlight, for example, it is not possible at the same time to bring about a whitening of the ceiling. This applies in particular if LEDs are used as the light source. Also, the reflector can direct the light only in the defined emission direction, wherein the high luminance of the lamp is maintained. Not possible is the partial emission of diffuse light with lower luminance.
- b. Also known are so-called. TIR reflectors that work with total reflection. They are used in particular together with LED. The disadvantages mentioned under 1. also apply here. Furthermore, it is disadvantageous that the TIR reflectors are manufactured due to production only in limited dimensions and therefore not suitable for strong light sources, which have a larger light exit surface. For spotlights with high luminosity this leads to the compulsion to replace the strong light source with several weak, which is associated with increased manufacturing costs.
- c. It is also known to use convex lenses to focus the light. This solution is often used when LEDs serve as the light source. Since the radiation characteristic of LED come close to the so-called Lambertian emitter, in LED a certain amount of light always emerges at a shallow angle, whereby at flat angles those are to be understood whose deviation from the main exit direction of the light is close to 90 °. The disadvantage is that this flat emergent light can not be used with the lens. Although it could be achieved by a concave shape of the lens on the side facing the bulb that all light enters the lens, but then the thinnest rays of light could not deflect sufficiently, so that for normal lighting applications no sufficient glare would be guaranteed.
- d. Such arrangements are also known as in the patent application for
file number DE to be shown. Here, the light control is achieved by a cover made of translucent material, which has an opening immediately above the bulb, through which a directly emitted light cone can escape. The light retained by the cover is diffused by the translucent material.10 2006 016 218.8
The disadvantage is that the division between directly and diffusely emitted light component is hardly selectable. In order to achieve adequate glare reduction of the directly emitted light cone, the opening in the light-scattering body must be sufficiently reduced. Any light not directly exiting through the opening will inevitably be converted into diffuse radiation. The disadvantage is that depending on the application there is a risk that the diffuse component is too large and causes glare. A reduced direct glare is thus bought with increased diffuse glare or vice versa.
Although this arrangement achieves ceiling illumination, since part of the diffused light also reaches the ceiling, however, due to the diffuse nature, this occurs only in the immediate vicinity of the luminaire. The latter local limitation of Deckenunterleuchtung is also to be regarded as disadvantageous.
The invention has for its object to provide a light guide, which also uses the exiting at a shallow angle from a light beams for the lighting task. Furthermore, it should be able to emit a portion of the lumen output as a diffused light, with different percentage divisions between direct and diffused emitted light should be possible. In particular, the invention should be able to the diffuse fraction compared to the under d. to reduce said arrangement. All the advantages mentioned are to be achieved in a comparatively flat design.
The object is solved by the features of the invention according to
The advantage achieved by the invention according to
