Die bisherigen Rundstrickmaschinen haben den großen Fehler, daß das die Nadel abwärtsbewegende
Schloß nur in tiefster Lage richtig arbeitet, in den höheren Lagen jedoch die Nadeln nur spät nach unten zieht, demzufolge
die Maschenbildung ungleichmäßig ist und die' Nadel — besonders bei schneller Arbeit
— oft keinen neuen Faden aufnimmt, daher Maschen fallen läßt.The previous circular knitting machines have the big mistake that the needle is moving downwards

Die Nadeln sind in der Zeichnung nicht dargestellt, da die Wirkungsweise derselben

Vorliegendes Schloß unterscheidet sich von den bisher bekannten darin, daß es aus zwei
Armen 1, 2 besteht, deren unteres Ende miteinander und mit der Hülse 3 gelenkig verbunden
ist und deren oberes Ende mit Schlitzen 4 versehen ist, in welche feststehende Stifte 5 eingreifen. Die die Stifte 5 tragenden
Arme 6 sind an der Stange 8 befestigt, welche an dem zum Stützen der Nadelfüße dienenden Ring 7 festgeschraubt ist. Auf der
Stange 8 ist auch die Hülse 3 in der Höhenrichtung einstellbar angeordnet. Die Stifte 5
sind über den höchsten Punkten der Abschrägungen 9 des Ringes 7 angeordnet, so daß bei
einer beliebigen Einstellung in der Höhenrichtung der Hülse 3 die über den höchsten Punkten
der Abschrägungen 9 liegenden Punkte der Arme 1, 2 immer in derselben Höhe bleiben.
Daher gelangen auch bei einer beliebigen Stellung des Schlosses, d. i. der Arme i, 2, die Nadelfüße immer auf ein und denselben
Punkt unter die Arme. Das Heben und Senken des unteren Punktes des Schlosses dient — wie bekannt — zur Regelung der

unteren Enden der Arme 1, 2 der über den höchsten Punkten der Abschrägung liegende
