Nach Stand der Verpackungstechnik erfolgt die versandgerechte Verpackung von Scheiben mit oder ohne Vorverpackung durch einbringen von unterschiedlichen Polstermaterialien aus Kunststoffen, volumigen Gebinden und Luftpolsterfolien. Sinn der Erfindung ist es, die Scheiben mittels der Verpackungseinheit aufzunehmen, abzustellen, zu verladen, zu transportieren und die Bereitstellung zur weiteren Verwendung zu gewährleisten. Weiter wird durch die geometrische Form der Verpackung eine Polsterwirkung erreicht, die durch eine weitere Verpackungsstufe noch verstärkt werden kann. Vorteil ist, daß hierbei ein wiederverwertbares Monomaterial verwendet wird. Die Verpackungseinheit ist für unterschiedliche Größen von flächigen Gütern zu verwenden.
