Description

The invention relates to packaging for a bottle or an object similar to a bottle, made from a blank made of a flat material, the blank having a plurality of surface elements adjoining one another at connecting lines, the surface elements being foldable relative to one another along their connecting lines.

Packaging for bottles is required for a variety of applications.

Cardboard blanks are often used, as they are, for example, from the DE 198 16 301 B4 , the DE 298 06 634 U1 , the DE102 28 601 B4 , the DE 25 15 155 B2 or the DE 27 43 081 A1 are known. Such blanks are usually used to pack and transport several bottles at the same time. They are designed for a cost-effective cutting form that can be used automatically and are used, for example, to accompany several bottles from the bottler to the supermarket. The purpose is to provide a practical and easy way of transport and to protect the bottles on this way. Such cuts are not intended for an attractive presentation of the content.

Bottles are often used as gifts. On the one hand, there are bottles filled with high-quality beverages such as wine or spirits, but also cosmetic bottles, which are often given away. The gift packaging used in all of these cases has the purpose, on the one hand, of protecting the corresponding bottle or bottle-like object on the way to its recipient and protecting it from damage or soiling, and on the other hand, the purpose of giving the recipient of the gift an attractive, the To provide an appearance that emphasizes the value of the gift.

If beverage bottles of this type are to be packaged for gift purposes, conventional packaging made from blanks is not used for this purpose, but bags or pouches. The bottles themselves are often also tastefully wrapped in wrapping paper to enhance the look and then placed in the bag or bag and carried around.

Cardboard packaging is occasionally used, but usually the beverage manufacturer's original cardboard packaging is then used. The aim is also to convey additional advantages through the gift packaging, for example to make it clear to the recipient of the gift that this gift is being given for a specific anniversary or birthday or other event, or the gift packaging should convey additional information about the content, for example the type , convey the type or manufacturer of the drink in the bottle.

There is already a variety of packaging that aims to achieve these goals. Usually, a blank is used that is designed to match the contour of a very specific bottle, has recesses that are roughly adapted to the size of the bottle, in order to hold the bottle in place. This is to prevent the previously mentioned unintentional falling out and damage to the bottle.

Such packaging is also widely used. They give the manufacturer of a specific beverage in a bottle that is always the same the opportunity to offer this same bottle to his customers from the outset in a gift box that is then, of course, always identical.

As a result, such packaging does not provide an opportunity for the end consumer to purchase a non-gift boxed bottle of their choice and to place it themselves in a tasteful and attractive box or other packaging and thus give it away or otherwise transport it. This has corresponding disadvantages and severely restricts the end consumer's choices and at the same time makes it more difficult for a manufacturer of a beverage or cosmetics or other filling goods housed in bottles or bottle-like objects to accommodate different types of their beverages in one and the same type of carton, which makes stocking for the Packaging, and therefore also sustainability, is made more difficult and expensive.

In contrast, the object of the invention is to propose packaging with which an advantageous presentation of a bottle or a bottle-like object is possible without to be limited to exactly one type of bottle.

According to the invention, this object is achieved with a generic packaging in that a surface element designed as part of the blank is designed in such a way that it supports the bottle or the object similar to the bottle.

It is also advantageous if the blank consists of seven rectangular planar elements, if the seven rectangular planar elements are each connected to one another via a connecting line, and if the planar element used for support is designed as part of one of the other planar elements.

A multitude of advantages can be achieved with such a construction.

Different types of bottles or bottle-like objects within a certain range of sizes can thus be accommodated in a packaging according to the invention, without this bottle type having to be specifically taken into account beforehand when the packaging is produced. So one and the same blank can be used to pack very different beverages in it in an attractive manner. This takes account of the interests of the end consumer who, for example, purchases such a packaging blank which indicates a specific gift-giving occasion with corresponding printing, and can subsequently fill this packaging with bottles of his choice.

Another big advantage is the environmental friendliness of such packaging. These can be reused by the recipient to repackage another bottle and give it to a third party, because the packaging is not damaged when opening and removing the bottle and is reusable and it is not related to a specific type of bottle, in particular a type of beverage .

It is also advantageous that the packaging is made from one piece. As a result, it can be manufactured efficiently and inexpensively.

The packaging according to the invention can also be erected and assembled quickly and easily and without additional material.

No additional flap or glue is required to erect the packaging. This also avoids damage and, in many embodiments, makes environmentally friendly disposal considerably easier due to the lack of adhesive.

The packaging can also be made of corrugated cardboard, which is very environmentally friendly. Alternatively, it is also possible for the packaging to consist of blanks made of polypropylene, of cardboard with a corresponding covering material of kraft paper or foil, or of cardboard that is only dyed through, or of a wood-based material.

Inside the packaging, by keeping the shape and design of the bottle opening used for the bottles consistent, very different types of bottles or objects, also with variable sizes, can be accommodated within certain limits for one and the same packaging.

The packaging is an ideal complement to a bottle. As a gift wrap, it also offers an inexpensive way to present a bottle. The high quality of the packaging reflects on the item inside, creating a synergy effect here.

The concept according to the invention also offers the advantage that advantageous bookbinding manufacturing options can be combined and used. This includes, for example, a V-shape with a 130° groove and/or a suspended ceiling. As a result, the restoring forces of the cardboard can be almost completely avoided and the stability of the design and the high quality of the packaging can thus be emphasized for the recipient of the overall combination.

The bottle holder offers a secure stand for the bottle or the object in the packaging.

If a bottle ring is also attached in the upper area, the bottle is additionally supported and secured there.

It is of particular advantage that the corresponding blanks for the packaging can be made to a size that allows optimal accommodation of as large a number of such packaging as possible on, for example, pallets or other panels. This reduces transport costs and puts less strain on the environment.

In a preferred embodiment, the format of the blanks is adapted to Euro pallets and can therefore also be ideally stored and shipped in large quantities by commercial users.

For the end customer who wants to use the packaging as a gift, as well as for the recipient, ie ultimately the end consumer, it is advantageous that the storage of the packaging for reuse is quite easy. An end user can also turn an unfolded package back into a flat blank and simply store it. This supports the multiple usability of the packaging.

The mutual support of the individual surface elements offers a high level of stability and security in many embodiments of the packaging.

An embodiment with a punched-out area for the bottle also creates a stable carrying handle, which enables the bottles to be carried easily on the transport route.

An embodiment in which a special paint is applied to the outside of one of the surface elements is particularly advantageous. This paint can be written on, but the writing can preferably be wiped off afterwards. As a result, the provision of a separate greeting card can be avoided and the packaging also forms the labeling field, which is otherwise formed by a separate greeting card. At festivities, this also protects against the risk that a suitably wrapped gift will be separated from the greeting card and can no longer be assigned to the correct giver afterwards. The fact that the packaging can be used multiple times as a greeting card also saves time and money.

The surface elements used for cutting can be colored and designed in very different ways, so that they are also suitable for very different content.

The packages can also be varied relatively easily and made from different material variants, which allows the packages according to the invention to be adapted to the personal preferences of customers. For example, particularly environmentally friendly packaging can be made of corrugated paper, but high-gloss plastics can also be used for the same cut or the same cut shape. Different price classes can also be mapped in this way.

The different configurations for the support element result in different storage options. There is an opportunity for a bridge, a V-shaped support and also a fold-out platform. The last version in particular makes the packaging unique.

The embodiment with a ridge additionally creates a kind of pedestal on which the bottle or the object rests within the carton. This ensures the position of the bottle or object in the box and also prevents it from being damaged if it hits the ground.

In an embodiment with an additional bottle holder, the bottle is also firmly held at the neck.

Various closing and opening options for the carton also make it possible to offer different options for the opening and closing process, which also appeals to different groups of buyers due to the different manufacturing costs. It is of particular advantage that the packaging in the majority of the embodiments is actually made from a single one-piece blank. The environmental friendliness is often an incentive and sales argument, especially for end consumers, because the cut is used practically continuously during production, without waste or leftovers.

Conventional packaging solutions usually have to be set up so that you can put a bottle in there. With this conventional packaging, the preparation process for packaging the bottle or the bottle-like object prevents the end user from working directly with a blank. This is different with a packaging according to the invention. With this, the bottle is placed on the prepared blank and then the packaging is applied around the bottle.

Because the packaging can be stored and shipped flat, there is a major logistical and storage advantage over conventional erected packaging, even for larger commercial uses.

In addition, due to the elegant basic construction, the packaging according to the invention can be produced inexpensively with comparatively few machine runs and stations.

To construct the packaging, a blank is first made from a flat material. The blank is rectangular and rectangular in the preferred and most other embodiments. The material of the blank can be, for example, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, a wood material or polypropylene. The cardboard can be composed of different cardboard materials and created in different colors. Image representations that have already been prepared can also be provided on the blank.

In the illustrated embodiment, the blank consists of seven surface elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Each of these surface elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 is in turn rectangular. The surface elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are all connected to one another via connecting lines 12, 23, 34, 45, 56 and 67. In order to be able to arrange the bottle to be packaged as a gift and to be transported and protected by means of the packaging in the packaging, the sixth surface element 6, ie the one from the right side of the blank in the 1 Seen from the penultimate section, an area 60 has been cut out as a recess in the blank. The hypotenuse of the right-angled triangle from the surface elements 5, 6, and 7 is formed by the sixth surface element 6 with the recess 60.

Due to the fact that the outer shell of the packaging is square in cross-section and cuboid-shaped overall, this packaging also appears complete and closed at the same time. Nevertheless, the bottle 80, which is indicated in cross section and is circular in section in a first approximation, can find its place exactly in the packaging, namely within the recess 60 in the sixth surface element 6. In the area of the recess 60, the sixth surface element 6 formed diagonal in the packaging free space for the bottle 80 and at the same time secures the bottle 80 with the remaining framing edge area against slipping up or down from the packaging.

The packaging, which is closed overall, now also has the viewing window for the further recess 20 in the second surface element 2. From there, one can see the bottle and its label from the outside and take a look at the gift. This viewing window 20 can be quite different be designed to increase the effect accordingly.

The bottle 80 could also be placed on the lower edge of the recess 60 in the sixth surface element 6 . However, a relatively high force is exerted on this area by a filled bottle 80 and it could therefore damage it or become damaged itself.

For this reason, the support 71 is provided.

This support 71 can either be provided from the broken-out area of the recess 60 of the sixth surface element 6 as a special shape that represents a surface and is attached to the lower edge of the remaining edge around the recess 20 by kinked areas.

However, a region of the additional recess 71 in the seventh surface element 7 is particularly preferably folded out without detaching from the seventh surface element 7 and is supported on the lower edge of the recess 60 of the sixth surface element 6 . A bar is formed horizontally as a contact surface for the bottle 80. This looks elegant and at the same time creates a very stable construction that absorbs the force in two areas. The two areas are on the one hand the lower edge of the recess 60 of the sixth surface element 6 and on the other hand the area of the surface element 7 which is still connected to the support 71 .

In the illustrated embodiments, the packaging is a packaging that is only made in one piece and completely encloses the bottle at the side. The packaging is closed either with magnets, removable adhesive dots or with a loop.

The packaging is laid out completely flat (lying flat) and can be erected by means of peeling, grooving or punching. It essentially consists of individual surface elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, which together form the body of the packaging. One of the variants has one or more viewing windows 20 for the bottle 80 located inside. The viewing window is punched into one of the outer surface elements, preferably into the second surface element 2.

The recess 60, which is perforated, is pushed out in this case to make room for the bottle 80. In addition, the pushed-out piece also serves as a reference/explanation field. There are several variants of how the bottle 80 is carried in the lower section of the surface element 6. This can be done by means of a web, a fold-out stand or a V-shaped double bottle recess or other support 71 . In addition, the bottle neck can be stabilized by a stamped movable bottle neck holder 72 .

The packaging can accommodate bottles 80 of different sizes inside without being precisely adapted to the bottle size, and it can also be stored and shipped completely flat (without bottle).

In general, the great advantages of this packaging arise when it is assembled from the flat blank and thus in the actual manufacturing process. The complete packaging consists of one piece, which in turn is divided into individual surface elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. These form the respective sides of the packaging. There are several versions, which differ in the material and the production and thus in the external perception.

The core of the packaging consists preferably of either gray cardboard (different thicknesses), which is provided with printed art paper and then laminated with a film, or polypropylene, which can be printed directly. In the case of a version made of gray cardboard, different cover materials, such as natron kraft paper, are used as an alternative to picture printing paper. This can also be partially printed directly. For another variant, solid-colored cardboard is used instead of gray cardboard. Corrugated cardboard and wood are also used. With corrugated board, as with gray board, several strengths and types are possible (e.g. fine corrugated board). When it comes to wood, wood fiber materials (e.g. MDF) and plywood (e.g. flexible balsa wood) are used.
