Abstract

The swimming and bathing pool (1) has vegetation (2) planted round the edges as a biological regeneration zone, to a max. depth of 150 cm. It is secured to the bottom in the swimming and walking zones (3) with a self-cleaning system assisted by a water flow which generates waves (6) and a sufficiently wide horizontal overflow (7) with a secondary pool (9) which also has vegetation round the edges as a regeneration zone. The water supply is taken from the secondary pool through a drainage filter and a recirculating pump. A dam near the overflow retains floating matter flushed from the swimming and bathing pool.

Beschreibung -2-Description -2-

Selbstreinigender Schwimm-und Badeteich.Self-cleaning swimming and bathing pond.

Swimming pools with biological water treatment are commonly referred to as swimming or bathing ponds. The edge areas are planted as regeneration zones. However, these common ponds become dirty in a relatively short time and are over-fertilized by the constant introduction of plant components such as flowers, leaves, grass and the like, as well as animal components such as feathers, flying insects and the like after they decompose in the pond and begin to silt up.

However, the sedimentation substances are stirred up by bathing activities. The result is cloudy water contaminated with suspended matter and algae.

Bisher gab es als Lösung dieses Problemes:So far, the solution to this problem has been:

1. die Heranziehung von fließenden Gewässern zur ständigen oder periodischen Durchfließung des Teiches, was in den seltensten Fällen mangels fließendem Gewässer möglich ist, mit der zusätzlichen Voraussetzung, das Gewässer ist biologisch in Ordnung.1. the use of flowing water for permanent or periodic flow through the pond, which is only possible in very rare cases due to the lack of flowing water, with the additional requirement that the water is biologically sound.

Filtration of the pond water with special filters, which involves ongoing, not inconsiderable maintenance costs but, depending on the size of the pond, moderate success.

Diese Methode erreicht nur bereits abgesunkene bzw. schwebende Stoffe in der Nähe der Entnahmestelle, jedoch keinerlei schwimmende Einträge.3. using a secondary pond with a seepage shaft, whereby the pond water is collected at the bottom, led to the seepage shaft and biologically cleaned by planting around the seepage shaft. The water is then returned to the swimming pond via a spring pot and channel. This method only reaches substances that have already sunk or are floating near the extraction point, but not any floating inputs.

Artificial oxygenation with periodic basic cleaning. Although this significantly improves the water quality, the problem of constant pollution and silting remains.

Various methods of flow and water passage through biotope areas and filters. Here too, higher maintenance costs and varying success must be expected.

All of the above-mentioned systems with mechanical circulation must achieve a significant water turnover in order to function at all, which is always associated with high operating costs over the course of the year.

Die Erfindung basiert auf folgende Beobachtungen:The invention is based on the following observations:

Water pollutants are approximately 90% plant and animal with a specific gravity of less than 1, which means that almost everything is carried by the air or wind (examples: wilted flowers, leaves, bird feathers) or by its own movement or construction (examples: flying insects, flying seeds) and initially float on the water surface.

Depending on the type, these contaminants remain on the water surface for a few hours to a few days until they are absorbed by water to the point where they sink.

However, once these particles have sunk, they can only be captured inadequately or not at all using conventional methods, or with disproportionate effort, and are either largely only inadequately utilized by the microorganisms due to the oversupply and thus pollute the water, or the water has to be cleaned with great technical effort and high operating costs.

The less nutrients the water contains, the more intensively the microorganisms use the nutrients present. The result is clear water with little suspended matter.

With the help of a spring whose water hits the water surface from a sufficient height, centric waves are generated. These waves slowly drive floating particles away from the spring.

The observations just mentioned are used to solve the problem, namely the self-cleaning of the swimming and bathing pond with the invention. By arranging the spring with a sufficient fall height at one end of the pond and the horizontal, sufficiently wide overflow at the other end of the pond, it is ensured that the waves drive the floating contaminants, which make up around 90% of the total input, to the overflow. There these substances are caught by the current and flushed via the overflow into the lower secondary pond. Once in the secondary pond, the floating contaminants remain in front of the floating barrier within the restricted area. There they sink to the bottom and can be easily absorbed sporadically, so that no over-fertilization occurs in the secondary pond due to the swimming pond input. To protect the microorganisms, the filtered water is removed from the spring via a seepage filter at the bottom of the secondary pond using a pump in the pump shaft specially provided for this purpose, thus closing the cycle. The seepage filter is necessary to protect the microorganisms, as they are damaged by the pump mechanism during pump operation. Dead microorganisms would be an undesirable burden on the bathing water in the bathing pond. At the same time, secondary maintenance of the pump is no longer necessary, as the suction area can no longer become clogged.

The invention works reliably even with a daily pump running time of about 1-2 hours (depending on wind input and time of year), so that the ongoing operating costs are extremely low.

Because the paved floor in the swimming and bathing pond is accessible (maximum water depth 150 cm), the few sunken substances are stirred up and transported to the edges of the pond by bathing activities, where they cause no disruption.

The drawing shows the subject matter of the invention schematically. The swimming and bathing pond system is shown in section in drawing 1 and in plan view in drawing 2.

A swimming and bathing pond 1 is planted with aquatic and marsh plants on the edges for the natural, biological treatment of the water 2.

In the middle of the pond there is a swimming and walking area 3 with a maximum water depth of 150 cm and a paved floor 4.

To the left of the pond there is a spring 5 with sufficient fall height.

The falling water creates waves 6 on the water surface, which spread along the pond towards the overflow 7 .

Der Überlauf muß ausreichend breit sein. The overflow must be sufficiently wide.

The waves generated continuously transport incoming contaminants to the overflow, where they are captured by the shallow surface current and led into the adjacent secondary pond 9.

At the beginning of the secondary pond, the floating substances are stopped by a floating barrier 10 and eventually sink to the bottom.

These can be easily picked up sporadically from area 11.

The secondary pond is also planted on the edges 12 as described in 2.

In the middle, the secondary pond is provided with a bottom infiltration filter 13.

The filter prevents microorganisms from the secondary pond from entering the pump sump 14.

The pump 16 pushes the water through the supply line 15 to the source 5 in the swimming and bathing pond.
